Senate Democrats are expected to attempt to force a vote in a rare Saturday session on funding TSA to alleviate missed paychecks and staffing shortages. Trump threatened on social media to deploy ICE agents to airports to serve in TSA roles if the partial government shutdown doesn’t end soon.

(1) Will they still be wearing ski masks?

(2) Is there some magic way Trump can train these people to do TSA jobs by Monday -- jobs they are 100% NOT currently trained to do? Running xray scanners? Following complicated DEA drug-detection and interdiction protocols? Proper securing and handling of evidence, so as not to void prosecutions? Knowing and following proper anti-terrorism protocols?

Asking as an American traveler, who is uncomfortably aware that Trump has thrown us into a war with Iran, and that this has actual security implications.
