1. USAF Air Crews receive extensive survival training in the event they are shot down

behind enemy lines or in dangerous hostile territory.

Even during the Viet Nam war USAF crews received this training and it was brutal.

I am sure it is even more complex and difficult now.
You get it before you can even ship out.

2. SERE school is mandatory for all military pilots

and other folk who work behind enemy lines. Navy and Marine pilots get it. I went. Interesting training.
