(1,540 posts)...and Lisa Rubin explains, this isn't a settlement. This money comes from an appropriation Congress makes to the DOJ to pay out successful claims against the government. They're using this as a slush fund to hand out money to Trump's prospective Brown Shirts.

No working person should have any hesitation about taxing this country's ultra-rich much more than we do now. And there should be no way Congress lets Trump get away with redistributing this money Congress has allocated for a specific purpose.
