He closed out an era of principled caution which spanned multiple administrations.

Now we understand how DOJ is supposed to operate.

It is mostly by such a then-and-now comparison that he seems as anemic as he does.

I do notice he has kept a very low profile though.

Is there a sense of regret? Of shame?
