2. Your post reminds me of a graduation event where something analgous to what you posted took place.

One of the speakers was spouting off some nonsense at the grads and my relative was among them. After it was over my relative gushed about that particular speaker. I indicated my disgust. At which point I was lectured about the many accomplishments of the speaker. I replied to my relative that for all the supposed "education" she had received at that institution she was still ignorant. I got the expected huffy response and I said to her that she needed to learn that just because someone has money or accomplishments doesn't mean they aren't a total asshole.
