Summary
Jessiah analyzes Donald Trump's recent Fox News interview with Will Cain regarding the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti, an American citizen killed by ICE agents in Minneapolis.
Key Points:
The Alex Pretti Incident:
Trump avoided calling Pretti a "domestic terrorist" (as some administration officials had) but criticized him for carrying a lawfully obtained firearm
Jessiah argues this stance contradicts Second Amendment principles, as Pretti had a holstered gun and never brandished or used it
Trump called the incident "very unfortunate" but appeared to care more because Pretti's family were "Trump fans"
Trump's Statements:
On guardrails: Trump explicitly stated "I don't need guardrails. I don't want guardrails"
On impeachment: Suggested Democrats would impeach him again if they retake Congress
On immigration enforcement: Defended ICE operations but acknowledged getting "one person a little bit wrong" (referring to American citizens killed)
On the economy: Claimed inflation is "solved" and prices are "coming way down," which Jessiah disputes
Commentator's Analysis: Jessiah argues Trump is "trying to have a foot in both worlds" - attempting to appear conciliatory while maintaining his hardline stance. This approach allegedly alienates multiple groups: Second Amendment conservatives, MAGA supporters who want no concessions, and those opposed to aggressive immigration enforcement.

(113,065 posts)1. Where is the evidence the Pretti family were "Trump fans?" I don't believe it.
As to Renee Nicole Good's "father," it was later reported but not widely corrected, that the so-called "Trump fan" was her STEPFATHER not her biologic parents.
So many lies...
