Related: About this forumPam Bondi's Epstein scheme blows up in her face - Another Day - Brian Tyler Cohen
BTC: Pam Bondi says all the Epstein files have now been released. I guess she's rounding up by a few million documents. This is just another day.
I think almost everyone around the world can agree that it's a nice surprise when you get a letter in the mail. And I say almost because some letters are looked upon more fondly than others.

TODAY Show WH Reporter: Over the weekend, in a letter sent to Congress, Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Justice Department has released all of the millions of the Epstein files required by law. But some lawmakers are arguing that release is still insufficient and that there are still crucial files missing. The DOJ also provided a long list of more than 300 high-profile names mentioned in the files, but critics from both parties are calling that decision a way to muddy the waters and to distract from who really is a predator.
(cut to studio)
BTC: That's right. Even another predator was like, "What the fuck is this bullshit?" Yes. Not only did Pam Bondi close up shop on the Epstein Files this weekend, but in her letter to Congress, she also included what she described as more than 300 politically exposed persons who are mentioned in the overall Epstein files. Well, I guess in the midst of all this tragedy, at least some people names will be held accountable.
(cut to video)
Unidentified Reporter: While some had documented ties to Epstein, others are listed despite no evidence they ever communicated with him, including late icons such as Elvis Presley, Princess Diana, Marilyn Monroe, and Kurt Cobain.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Wow. I guess we should have heeded Bondi's words.
(cut to video)
Pam Bondi: No one in this country is above the law.
(cut to studio)
BTC: And that includes dead rock stars who have absolutely nothing to do with this case whatsoever. And just for a little context as to why someone like Kurt Cobain's name is on this list, Kurt Cobain is referenced in a book titled A Manual of Peace: 38 Steps Toward Enlightened Living that is fully transcribed in the Epstein files. In it, Cobain is mentioned as a negative role model affecting impressionable youth of today. So true. I mean, think about all the horrible things that could happen to our impressionable youth if they were to listen to Nirvana. I can't imagine how the DOJ plans to justify any of this.
(cut to video)
Ken Dilanian: The Justice Department points out that the term politically exposed person is not really defined in the statute. Uh, and they suggest that they did this as best they could. They were following the law. But of course, another way to look at this is they're hiding the ball here. They're doing what uh commercial litigants do all the time. And they dump people in in they dump information on their opponents and say, "You guys sort it out."
(cut to studio)
BTC: Exactly. This is not an accident. It is a tactic. A tactic being used to overwhelm anybody looking to bring justice and closure to Epstein's victims. Being used by the one department whose job it is to bring justice and closure to Epstein's victims.
But while overwhelming people with too much unnecessary information is nothing new for Trump administration's DOJ, one just has to wonder where they even learn this whole flood the zone strategy from.
(cut to video)
Steve Bannon: All we have to do is flood the zone. Every day we hit them with three things. They'll bite on one and we'll get all of our stuff done. Bang, bang, bang. These guys will never be able to recover. But we got to start with muzzle velocity. So it's got to start and it's got a hammer. It's got muzzle velocity.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Oh, right. that guy. And if there's one guy Republicans should be taking advice from, it's Steve Bannon, who coincidentally is in the news today for having his text messages with Epstein come to light, where he called Epstein God. I guess when Bannon says that God works in mysterious ways, he was referring to his buddy abusing women.
I'm not sure that it's possible for Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice to look like they give less of a shit about Epstein's victims and I'm not alone in that opinion.
(cut to video)
Martha Radditz: Do you still have confidence in Pam Bondi as attorney general?
Rep. Thomas Massie: I I don't think Pam Bondi has confidence in Pam Bondi.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Oh shit! Looks like we got ourselves another classic Massie slam. Don't get this Kentucky congressman going because when he starts there's no stopping him. Attorney General, I wouldn't hire this woman to be my general attorney. Massie slam. Bondi should be held behind bars right now without Bondi. Massie slam. Hey, no wonder she's named Pam, because nothing this lady says ever sticks. Massie slam. End scene.
What's pretty startling right now is how this congressman has become one of Donald Trump's top enemies simply due to Massie's pursuit of justice. I mean, think about this. Donald Trump is all over the Epstein files. There's photos, there's birthday cards, there's videos of Trump and Epstein dancing together, and still he's not being held accountable. All Donald Trump would have to do is say that he applauds Massie's efforts and wants to help him in any way he can. And yet, that's just not who Trump is.
(cut to video)
Trump: Massie's a loser. You know, a guy like this loser Massie, he's a real loser. Some psychiatrist ought to go see him.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Yes, the guy looking to help the victims of sexual abuse is the one in desperate need of psychiatric help. Got it.
But at the very least, we can be certain that Republicans aren't just spineless sycophants who take up any morally bankrupt position Donald Trump seems to hold.
(cut to video)
Vladimir Duthiers: Your Republican colleague, as you know, Thomas Massie, yesterday he called the Epstein administration, he called the Trump administration, the Epstein administration as a senior member of the House. I mean, are you urging there to be more investigations uh into people whose names were protected in those redactions?
Rep. Tom Emmer: Well, I I don't know exactly where Thomas is going with this. I know that there's a personal issue that Thomas and the president have, but what I would say what I would say is well, they have some differences.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Yes. And one of the biggest differences being guys like Massie are not okay with having friends of a rapist run the country whereas Donald Trump is.
But Representative Emmer did want to qualify his statements.
(cut to video)
Emmer: But I would say on the Epstein issue with Thomas, if if he's got something specific, then absolutely bring it to the DOJ and it would be Thomas or anyone else. If there is a crime that they believe is not being investigated properly, bring it to the DOJ and I I have no doubt in my mind that they will take it up.
Vladimir Duthiers: All right
(cut to studio)
BTC: We've got no doubt. Pam Bondi and the entire DOJ are frankly sitting by the phone just waiting for someone to reach out.
(cut to video)
Rep. Ted Lieu: How many of you have reached out either individually or through a lawyer or representative to offer to provide testimony and evidence? All of them. And of those you of you, all of you who have reached out, how many of you were denied or ignored by the Department of Justice? All of them.
(cut to studio)
BTC: But hey, maybe if they were all dead rock stars, Bondi would have paid a little bit more attention. The reality is this latest move by Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice only proves once again whose side this administration is on. And it is not the side of the victims, which is beyond baffling. If the DOJ wanted, they could easily provide clarity to members of Congress and provide justice and closure to women abused by Jeffrey Epstein. But they're working so hard to do the opposite. It is not an accident. It is a tactic. They have chosen to lean in and sow doubt. All in an effort to protect their people.
Look at this chart. These are the nine men from Donald Trump's administration that we know of so far who have been exposed as having a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Nine. One is far too many, but you should definitely not have enough guys associated with convicted rapists to play a pickup game of baseball. But now this DOJ, the people who claim to be America's greatest advocates for transparency and the rule of law, have decided that when it comes to the Epstein files, their work here is done. And what do we have to show for it?
(cut to video)
Christiane Cordero: So far, just one person associated with Jeffrey Epstein is serving prison time. His female co-conspirator and convicted sex offender, Ghislaine Maxwell.
(cut to studio)
BTC: One person. And even she wasn't jailed during their administration. They have done nothing but delay, deflect, and distract for over a year. And besides being incredibly callous and cold-hearted, there is a special irony here when it comes to Pam Bondi. Because according to her old campaign ad from when she was running to be Florida's next attorney general, if there was one woman you could trust on matters like these, it was her.
(cut to campaign commercial)
Bondi: Florida ranks third nationally in calls for help for human trafficking where young women and children are enslaved and abused.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Wow. Ranked third nationally. I'm surprised they didn't promoted in their tourism magazines, but my apologies. Please continue.
(cut to campaign commercial)
Bondi: And I'll fight to put human trafficking monsters where they belong, behind bars.
(cut to studio)
BTC: I guess when she said behind bars, she was referring to the black ones placed over their names. Pam Bondi, the DOJ, this entire administration, and practically every Republican have continually turned their backs on victims of sexual abuse while somehow claiming that they've done the opposite. It is truly a grotesque level of gaslighting. So, I don't think Epstein's co-conspirators should be the only ones behind bars. Frankly, I think all these folks should join them because as someone once said
(cut to video)
Bondi: no one in this country is above the law.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Exactly.
