A RAND Health study confirms Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill will cut $665 billion from state Medicaid budgets over 10 years, leaving 7.6 million Americans without coverage by 2034.

California loses $112 billion. New York loses $63 billion. Arizona, Iowa, and Nevada face Medicaid budget cuts exceeding 15 percent.

RAND senior economist Preethi Rao confirmed "the effects of the law on Medicaid budgets and enrollment are substantial." Over 600 healthcare providers are now facing closure or service cuts as a direct result. The National Rural Health Association estimates 1 in 5 rural hospitals will close. Maine's House Speaker is already pushing a $250 million state investment just to partially offset what the federal government took away.
