Rep. Jasmine Crockett Calls Out $3 BILLION War Push: "We Can Bomb Countries But Not Feed Americans?" - Rep. Crockett

In this committee exchange, Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett challenges the justification for U.S. military action tied to Venezuela and ongoing conflicts abroad, questioning both the legality and the staggering cost to American taxpayers.

Rep. Crockett invokes Tupac’s famous line — “We’ve got money for war but can’t feed the poor” — to highlight the estimated $3 billion price tag of the operation, arguing that those resources could address urgent needs at home instead of funding more violence overseas.

Drawing on her background as a criminal defense attorney, she presses witnesses on constitutional limits, due process, and whether the United States can legally target suspected criminals without trial. She raises a stark hypothetical: if another country bombed U.S. civilians to arrest someone accused of crimes, Americans would rightly be outraged — so why is it acceptable when the U.S. does it?

Rep. Crockett also challenges attempts to downplay casualties, asking whether returning service members “in caskets” doesn’t constitute war, and warns that bending legal standards for political convenience undermines the rule of law itself. - 03/18/2026.

She is one of those few politicians that can cut through the crap and make her point in simple language and fearlessly take on the stupidity around her. May she reappear somewhere - soon.
