Related: About this forumTrump gets what he deserves after profiting from soldiers' caskets - Another Day - Brian Tyler Cohen
BTC: Donald Trump is asked to not raise money off of killed American service members. Yep, that is a request that apparently had to be made. This is just another day.
Today, more sad news as the result of Donald Trump's war with Iran.
(cut to video from Fox News)
Host: It's obviously a very solemn moment. Uh John, this is of course the second time since launching the war with Iran that the president will attend the solemn military ritual known as the dignified transfer.
John: Yeah. Uh we should point out that at the request of the families, the dignified transfer is going to remain private. There will not be any cameras there. So unlike we have seen in the past, we will not see scenes of the President welcoming the heroes back home.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Wait a minute. The families don't want to have footage of their commander-in-chief honoring their sons and daughters? I wonder why that could be.
(cut to video from Forbes News)
Host: Trump attended a dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, which honored six American soldiers killed in the conflict linked to Iran. But the president's appearance sparked outrage. Donald Trump wore a white baseball cap. The cap had USA embroidered in gold thread. He kept the cap on as the flag draped coffins were carried past.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Oh, that's right. Because the President of the United States chose to rock his merch on the tarmac.
You know, it is a widely known faux pas for musicians to wear their own merch. Mick Jagger got shit when he did it. People magazine spilled a lot of ink when Taylor did it. Did Taylor Swift wear her own merch to announce her new album? But now imagine how it'd feel if that headline read, "Did Taylor Swift wear her own merch to a funeral?" Pretty gross, right? So, I believe it stands to reason that this is far worse. And it gets even worser.
(cut to video from MSNOW)
Alex Witt: A new fundraising email from the Trump team this weekend includes a picture of the president in his white USA cap saluting at the dignified transfer of the first US soldiers killed in the war. MS NOW reached out to the White House for comment, but we haven't received a response. But what message does this send to MAGA and veterans? And by the way, this email offers donors attendance to private national security briefings by Trump himself.
(cut to studio)
BTC: So cool, right now you can just pay to hear some classified intelligence and I hear that if you pay for nine, you get the 10th free.
Donald Trump used the dignified transfer of the first service members killed in the war with Iran, a war that he started to make money. And I have to say, I think this whole thing is pretty pathetic. And by that, I mean pathetic that these gold star families think they can somehow do anything to stop Donald J. Trump from trying to profit off of their unimaginable loss. You think getting called out for wearing his hat and not having cameras around can keep this man down? I think you've forgotten who you're dealing with. This man is a fighter.
(inset video)
Trump: And I will never ever stop fighting for you.
BTC: That's right. I mean, not literally. I mean, he literally did everything possible to stop fighting for you. But figuratively, he's a guy who doesn't back down from a fight, especially when that fight is with America's military. I mean, disrespecting veterans is pretty much Donald Trump's fucking brand. He trashed John McCain's service.
(cut to video from C-SPAN)
Trump: He's not a war hero.
Audience member: War hero.
Trump: He's a war hero. He's a war hero cuz he was captured. I like people that weren't captured. Okay, I hate to tell you.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Sure. John McCain may have been captured, but Donald Trump captured our hearts. And speaking of hearts
(cut to video)
Trump: You know, something very nice just happened to me. A man came up to me and he handed me his Purple Heart and I said, "Man, that's like that's like big stuff. I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier."
(cut to studio)
BTC: So much easier, right? I mean, why fight for your country when you can just hope some legitimately patriotic veteran buys into your bullshit. If Trump had his way, I think he'd put a bunch of Purple Hearts in a claw machine in his house.
And who can forget that time during a 2018 trip to France when Donald Trump refused to visit the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery because it was according to him filled with suckers and losers? These families think they can stand in the way of Donald Trump enriching himself off of their dead children. He has an entire news network in his corner.
(cut to video from Fox News)
Host: President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Second Lady Usha Vance attending a dignified transfer to honor the final homecoming of the six US service members killed in Kuwait. The solemn ritual returns the remains of troops killed in action. It is considered one of the most somber duties of a commander-in-chief.
(snip)
Host: Before we move on, we want to acknowledge a mistake made earlier on our program. During our coverage of yesterday's dignified transfer, we inadvertently aired video from an older dignified transfer instead of the ceremony that took place yesterday.
(cut to studio)
BTC: How noble of a news network to cop to their blatant propaganda only after getting busted by the Internet. That is Fox News, the place that's supposed to be ground zero for American loving patriots. It's why Kid Rock rents a room there and why every member of the Trump administration goes there to bash Democrats for hating their country. This is the network that said Obama wearing a tan suit and ordering Grey Poupon mustard was the height of treason. But they ran cover for this guy (photo of Trump at dignified transfer displayed).
There is no bar low enough for Donald Trump. He created a Board of Peace that has a billion dollar entry fee paid to him and then took it upon himself to make the world less peaceful. Shame does not work on this man, especially hat-based shame because this was 9 years ago during Hurricane Harvey.
(cut to video from DW News)
Host: Well, US President Trump toured the area affected by Harvey on Tuesday, and it isn't what he said, but what he wore, which is generating a lot of interest. Trump was wearing a baseball cap with USA printed on the front during a briefing. You see it right there with Texas Governor Greg Abbott. No problem there. But what has drawn criticism is that the hat is one which is on sale on Trump's website, selling for $40 US a piece. That money going to a war chest for any future campaign.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Yes, hold on to your hats, folks, because the exploitation is just getting started. By the way, that hat cost $40 back in 2017, which means if you account for inflation, this should be priced at $53 today. But I'm sure Trump knows that times are tough. And what with his $4 billion windfall off the presidency this past year, I'm sure he's giving his supporters a much deserved break and rounding down. Oh, look at that. He rounded up, what a surprise.
Donald Trump can turn any setback for America into a win for himself. These aren't dead American soldiers. They're an opportunity to sell headgear. Healthcare isn't becoming less affordable. It's an opportunity for billionaires like him and his friends to get a tax cut. And gas isn't becoming more expensive because of our war with Iran. It's an opportunity for Trump to give a little something back to his kids by booking their drone company up with some Pentagon contracts.
Donald Trump did one of the most disrespectful things a sitting president of the United States can do toward his country. And I know one man who will not stand for it.
(cut to video)
Trump: Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners when somebody disrespects our flag to say, "Get that son of a bitch off the field right now out. He's fired. He's fired."
Because that's a total disrespect of our heritage. That's a total disrespect of everything that we stand for.
(cut to studio)
BTC: See, Colin Kaepernick disrespected his country, not by taking a knee, but by not trying to fund raise off his actions. That wouldn't have made him look greedy or opportunistic. It would have shown the entire world how he will
(cut to video)
Trump: Never ever stop fighting for you.
(cut to studio)
BTC: Exactly.

When the left has so many gifted messengers why do they sometimes lose the messaging war? Because the right owns the printing presses, figuratively speaking.
It used to be said, you cant fight the newspaper. They buy their ink by the barrel.
But in 2026, you can just buy the whole newspaper and shut down the competitors if the government enriches you with low tax rates.
Job creators my ass.
