I took guitar lessons when I was about the same age as I was when I went to that concert, but I was never very good at it. But I admired our teacher, she was a folk singer herself...

5. This is a bit smaller being a ukulele...I do play guitar and banjo but have slowed down on the full sized instruments

since I broke my fretting hand last year, I can still play them but am missing the stretch and dexterity I used to have..The little four nylon string ukes work pretty well though...

When he was young. He also started as a child singing in a church choir, his family didn't go to that church, but it was nearby and his neighborhood friends went there, in fact one of them became a bishop! But neither my brother or I inherited his talent. *sigh* I wish you luck with your beautiful new instrument!
