Let's talk about Trump prompting Danish war planning.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump prompting Danish war planning.

So, in the middle of January, we started talking about a European military exercise in Greenland. On January 14th, we talked about how the exercise wasn't really training, but was signaling to the United States that Europe was behind Denmark and Greenland. Then on January 16th, we entertain the idea that it was a two-tier operation, which is when a military does something very public to signal while secretly they are actually engaging in real operations. Sometimes secret preparations, sometimes training locals, and so on. Well, reporting has come out that should give Americans serious pause.

It says that as Trump was rambling about taking over Greenland, Europe was taking his statements seriously. Apparently, a Danish military operations order from January 13th outlines preparations that were undertaken to protect Greenland from a potential US invasion. It was a two-tier operation. The preparations weren't just undertaken by Denmark, but by a list of other traditional European allies of the United States. The severity of these developments can't be overstated. This is huge.

Preparations were reportedly undertaken by some of our closest allies to engage in direct combat against US forces. Well, we've talked about the damage Trump has done to America and how he's weakening it in just about every possible way. The idea that preparations for war were seriously undertaken by nations whose soldiers were fighting alongside ours just a few years ago is jarring.

I know how these operations work, knew it was possible, probable even. But seeing it in black and white is still surprising. I know the headlines are focusing on the deployment of troops who were tasked with destroying Greenland's runways in the event of a US invasion, but that's not where it ends.

The reporting confirms suspicions that the movement of European troops to Greenland for an exercise was sped up to act as a deterrent against the US. The training exercise was used to conceal efforts to prepare Greenland for a potential US invasion. While Americans might wave off Europeans bringing in explosives to take out the capital city's runways without really thinking about the significance. There's another little detail that if it's given any thought will tell you about how much Trump's games have damaged the US position in the world.

The European forces brought blood. As the European forces unloaded the planes and carried off the cold lead and steel, they carried off bags of blood they would need to treat their forces in the event of a US invasion. These countries were our ride or die allies. Right now, Trump's fascination with Greenland has subsided, but Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen recently said, "I hope for an agreement, but as I have said, Trump's desire to take over Greenland remains intact."

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
