His personal library on war, strategy, and history is said to be one of the finest in the world. His success as a military leader is sterling. Trump was so petty (surprise surprise!) that he rushed to claim he had fired this man after receiving his letter of resignation.
There is much more this man could say about the horrible folly of Trump's "excursion" and the destruction Trump has unleashed upon the world economy and political map. But think you for this post, Ben. So refreshing to see an interview intended to get information from a very brilliant military scholar -- as opposed to one prejudiced by the interviewer's own preconceptions. Didn't catcher her name, but the interview did a superb job of letting the man talk, and teach.
I hope a reporter will have the opportunity to ask Trump -- or Greasy Pete Hegseth -- his opinion of Mattis' remarks. It would be interesting to see how an untalented dim-bulb of a bully would respond to the remarks made by a man who is superior to them in every way, intellectually, emotionally, and morally.
