President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the EU at a meeting of the European Union’s foreign ministers.
“Russia is investing in prolonging conflicts in the Middle East. Wars there make it easier to fuel this war here in Europe. This is exactly what happened after Hamas’s attack on Israel. The same applies to the war waged by the Iranian regime, which is trying to preserve its existence. I said this yesterday and I repeat it today: we have proposed a ceasefire for the duration of the Easter holidays. We hope the United States will support this proposal. And we are waiting for Russia’s response. Tomorrow I will speak with the American team, including on this issue. We hope for results. Results are needed by everyone.” - 04/01/2026.
