Trump just brought one of the most consequential constitutional questions in years to the Supreme Court — and almost nobody is explaining what’s actually at stake.

This case isn’t just about immigration.

It’s about whether a president can use executive power to redefine birthright citizenship… and ultimately, who gets to be considered American.

During oral arguments, the justices — including conservatives — sounded skeptical. And at one point, the discussion raised a question that should make everyone pause:

If this logic holds… what does “subject to U.S. jurisdiction” really mean?

Because historically, that exact argument has been used to exclude people born on U.S. soil — including Native Americans.
