I really enjoyed the series based on his writings about the Viking invasions and effort to consolidate the little dukedoms of Britain, The Last Kingdom. Never read or watched the Sharpes series but seem to recall reading a book about the culture that gave Britain Stonehenge. Wasn't that a Cornwell novel too? So long ago and memory fades a bit.

He has written so many tomes to illustrate so much history that one wonders how one human being could do so much research then turn it all into such incredible twists on old stories. Maybe he never sleeps?
