Let's talk about whether Trump's Iran war is over and the metal shop guys.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about whether Trump's Iran war is over and the metal shop guys.

We got a question from the metal shop guys. For those newer to the channel, we have a running series where we answer questions from guys working in a metal shop who initially were working in a shop that was evenly divided between right and left. As Trump's tariffs took hold, the newer employees had to be shown the door. They happened to be the MAGA guys. Now we have a new message.

Miss Belle, sorry we haven't had anything to ask lately. We still listen every day, but there's less questions now and more head nodding. But we do have one now. Is the Iran war really over?

The owner who is in the Navy says that since they aren't bringing the boats back, the politicians don't believe it's over. Since the guys that asked don't work here anymore, I finally showed him the video you did mentioning him. He laughed and laughed and laughed. If you don't want to say whether or not it's over, can you tell us why you just seemed annoyed by Trump's comments about destroying Iran's civilization?

Most of the people we listened to were in full-blown panic mode. I wish I had better questions, but I saw people in the comments asking if we were still around and thought I better send something just to let you know we were still here.

I'll put the link to the video mentioning his boss because that's one of the funniest below. Okay, last question first.

We already had the reporting that the Pentagon was building target packages to stay within international law when it comes to civilian infrastructure before he said that. If the guard rails were going up when it comes to the use of conventional weapons, it seemed really unlikely they'd let him drop a nuke. It's the funny thing about safeguards. When they work, nobody knows. It's only when they fail that people bring them up.

But on to the big question. Is it over? We can't say definitively that it is. There's a whole lot of huge sticking points that could send any negotiations sideways and kick the whole thing off again. Iran seems more than willing to go back to fighting. Some of Trump's statements seem like he's demanding things that are going to be absolute non-starters for Iran. He may also not be aware that he doesn't have the cards, to use his term.

Trump is accustomed to dealing with countries that want to deal with the US. Iran doesn't care. It's going to be a new dynamic for him, and he very well may drop the ball despite the apparent desperation he has to put this toothpaste back in the tube. At the same time, Iran has advanced its interests pretty well during the war. They've cemented their place. They may be willing to take the win and give Trump an out, but I'm not sure. The US hit the families of the people they're negotiating with. They may not be forgiving. Honestly, it's a tossup at this point. Once the politicians talk to the press after they meet, we'll have a better read on it.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
