How the GOP Mainstreamed White Nationalist and Neo-Nazi Talking Points

Apr 9, 2026

From fringe extremists to White House advisors, the past decade has seen how white nationalist talking points & conspiracies now shape US policy and continue to poison and divide American communities.

Michael Edison Hayden spent years trying to expose VDARE and other white nationalist outlets, which went from fringe extremists to influencing the Trump White House. He moved to a small West Virginia town after VDARE’s founder moved into the town and introduced his poisonous white nationalist agenda. Along the way, Hayden faced death threats from racists, attacks from his own organization, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and pressure from pro-Israel groups looking for the scalps of writers critical of Israel’s genocide.

Hayden joined The Left Hook to discuss how fringe the Trump Administration has now mainstreamed neo-Nazi theories and how this poison is killing American towns and minds.
