do they hate Americans so much they basically tell them to "eat cake." And that's exactly what this is. They despise us and everything and I mean everything, America stands for.

Historical FYI: Some claim Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake." But if she did, what she meant was "let them eat crumbs." Back in her day, bread bakers would take fresh loafs of baked bread out of the ovens and trim the hard crust from around the top of the loaf. This crust was called "cake." Of course as they trimmed it from the loaf of bread, the hard crust crumbled into crumbs.

Here in the New York north country they started teaching us French in the 7th grade. And in high school we all had to choose a French name, so of course I chose Antoinette.
