Women have a hard time in America today just getting basic decent medical care. I think the Karen label is used to obfuscate our current situation. It is the rights of women that are being taken away by laws and court decisions, with the majority of the takers being men.

I don’t understand the use of the Karen meme or label to describe this interaction . The main driver of the scenario is a white male who is complaining about a veteran holding a sign while standing on a public sidewalk.

The women who enter the scene seem to be relatives of the male complainer. It is the man, not the women who is acting as the person in charge. He is the lead character pushing this this drama.

The police officer is very patient and respectful toward the male complainer and explains the rights of the veteran to be there doing what he is doing. We are not witnessing uppity women. We are witnessing a man having a patriarchal moment.
