At that, one whose area of specialty was intellectual property?

In that case, Biden’s pardon was like saving someone convicted for a parking violation from a firing squad.

Obviously, Hunter Biden’s offenses were far more serious than a parking violation, but his sentencing was just as obviously going to be overly severe, due to the fact that he was guilty of the deadly sin of being the son of the Democratic president who defeated the man who appointed the sentencing judge.

The Republicans were not out for justice. Were that the case, Joe Biden would have let the chips fall where they may. The Republicans were out for cruel, vindictive revenge. That is where Joe Biden drew the line. I would have done the same thing.

The Republicans will have four years to exercise their unimaginably cruel fantasies—fitting for the Stalinists they are at heart. But we still have a month and a half before their reign of terror starts anew. I’m happy that at least the man we elected last time is not just sitting on his hands, waiting with idle, folded hands for doomsday to fall.
