1. I'd like to see convicted felons held accountable for their crimes

I’m a law and order kinda guy, but, denaturalization is not a solution. It’s a wet dream for a racist pervert. Today I saw 6 guys who look nothing like me putting a new roof on a house in 90+ degree temperatures with not a cloud in the sky. Nine this morning I saw people who don’t look like me heading into the very successful and welcome addition to our community Mexican Restaurant to get lunch ready for the white folk who dine there. And I saw on TV a guy who doesn’t look like me spend 8+ hours telling the truth.

2. We had a new roof put on the house awhile back, not an easy job, but they showed up early, stayed late and did a great job

And even though this is northeastern New York, the crew was comprised of those from Mexico. I grew up in a fairly diverse community and I never thought of anyone as "different" than me. Nobody ever said anything, not my parents, not my teachers, not my grandparents, so I still don't get it. Everyone in this country comes from immigrants, whether recent or long ago. I have both. And my grandmother, whose Dutch ancestors settled here in the 1600s, told me that she was once given a hard time from a neighbor because of her lack of prejudice. She told me the neighbor said "Hazel, one of your children is going to grow up and marry an Eskimo!" I guess that was the minorist minority the woman could think of...
