Total Bullshit.
There was Zero data collection done in October for the jobs report and unemployment rate because the GOVERNMENT WAS SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE MONTH! How the FUCK are they supposed to come up with numbers with zero input data? (Or would this guy prefer they just MAKE UP numbers?) To spread this as a conspiracy theory that they're hiding the data because it's so bad is beyond pathetic. People who spread these type of conspiracy theories are just as dangerous as the Trumpsters on the right. In reality, October data WILL BE RELEASED when November is released (so how the hell does that equate to them hiding it??).
And the 3rd quarter GDP data is not being cancelled as he says. THere are always 3 releases of each quarter's GDP data. The first at the end of the first month following the end of the quarter, and the 2nd and 3rd at the end of the subsequent months. (That is because the data comes in gradually and it takes 3 months to get complete data but after 1 month they have enough data to come out with an advance estimate.) But like with the jobs report, there WAS NOBODY WORKING in October to come up with that initial report which would have normally been released at the end of October. When the shutdown lasted almost halfway into November, it made no sense to release that initial report. By the time they could have it ready, they would already have the data for the 2nd report which completely supersedes the first report anyway. The 2nd report (normally done at the end of November) will likely be delayed slightly, but it WILL be released.
