Trump snaps as new scandal gets exposed - Another Day - Brian Tyler Cohen

Donald Trump checks off one more day
with zero scandals. As long as you don't
count any of the scandals. This is just
another day.
As we approach the holidays, many people
are taking the time to express gratitude
for what they have in life. And today,
President Trump was no different.
I sit here, I do news, four news
conferences a day. I ask questions from
very intelligent lunatics. You people,
I always give I give the right answers.
There's never a scandal. There's never a
problem.
I'm sorry. I'm just trying to get my
bearings after hearing Donald Trump
claim that there is never a scandal.
Never a scandal. That's like the cast of
Law and Order claiming there's never a
dead body. Trump's entire presidency is
a scandal. The only reason Mikey Day
isn't currently hosting a show called Is
It Scandal is because it gets pretty
boring when the answer is yes
every single time. I mean, just for
kicks,
let's uh head over to dictionary.com and
look up the exact definition of a
scandal.
Well,
lookie
here.
A long, usually slender piece of tallow
or wax with an embedded wick that is
burned to give Wait, I think that's the
definition of a candle.
A disgraceful or discreditable action?
Hm. I wonder if we can find any
disgraceful or discreditable actions
from Donald Trump's White House since he
began his second term. I mean, uh, does
this count?
The big headline, a bipartisan call by
lawmakers wanting to know if a deadly US
boat strike rose to the level of a war
crime.
You know, I feel like committing a
possible war crime rises to the level of
a scandal. But maybe there's a different
definition.
This is called the fog of war. This is
what you and the press don't understand.
Yeah. See, Hex Seth gets it cuz he's not
one of those idiots in the press
anymore. But maybe counting that scandal
as a scandal isn't fair. I mean, for all
we know, it's the administration's cheat
day.
Not like that. You You know what I mean?
So, let's give him a pass on that one.
And I guess that pretty much wraps up
all the drama that we've witnessed,
right? So, President Trump is now facing
bipartisan backlash for his plans to
accept that luxury jet as a gift from
the Qatari royal family.
The question of who else got rich quick
now hangs over the White House because
Trump announced the tariff reprieve just
hours after he posted on social media,
"This is a great time to buy."
The 220 top holders of Trump's crypto
token have won a ticket to this
so-called presidential gala tonight. And
unlike major donors, these high rollers
are gaining access to the president not
because they gave to his campaign, but
because they enriched him personally.
Okay, but do those really count as
scandals, though? I mean, some say a
sitting president using the office of
the presidency to enrich himself by the
billions is nothing more than a
perfectly legal, ethical, non-corrupt
way to selfishly support all those
struggling golf resorts who are just
trying to eek by on caviar and
champagne. So, let's just let that be
that. And I'd appreciate if nobody
brought up all those completely innocent
people who Trump pardoned.
It's been exactly 300 days since Trump
issued a mass pardon for over 1,500
people who stormed the capital on
January 6th.
A striking contradiction to his
crackdown on the Caribbean drug trade.
President Trump announced over the
weekend that he would pardon the former
president of Honduras, who was convicted
just last year of conspiring to import
cocaine into the United States. Just
days after the president pardoned
disgraced former representative George
Santos, he doled out one for a crypto
mogul.
He founded this company called Binance
that is the world's largest
cryptocurrency exchange. But that
platform, I should note, was also used
by criminals to essentially move money
connected to child sex abuse, to drug
trafficking, and to terrorism.
Yes, but who better to catch criminals
involved in child sex abuse, drug
trafficking, and terrorism than the man
who is incredibly well-versed in it? I
mean, besides law enforcement officials
who weren't involved in those crimes, I
mean, honestly, what else is there?
For all intents and purposes, Doge is
done. The Department of Government
Efficiency as an actual entity within
the federal government is no more.
That's according to the government's top
HR official who confirmed over the
weekend that eight months ahead of the
date it was supposed to wrap up under
the executive order that created it,
Doge is over. The the Elon Musk le
agency, you'll remember, acts tens of
thousands of jobs from the federal
government in the early months of this
year, but it lost quite a bit of its
mojo when Musk himself left the
government in May. Hold on. The world's
richest ketamine enthusiast, who spent
$300 million to get Donald Trump
elected, made billions in government
contracts thanks to his government
position, left early, and in turn
shuttered the entire department that he
helmed eight months before it was
supposed to, does not necessarily denote
a scandal. It is merely the cost of
doing business. Got to crack a few eggs
to make an omelette, as they say. I
mean, look, I suppose maybe if Doge
didn't accomplish nearly what it was
supposed to or even lied about their
results, that would be kind of scandaly.
You've tried to track what Doge actually
accomplished. What are the hard numbers?
The initial goal for Doge to save money
from Elon Musk was 2 trillion. Later, he
said 1 trillion. Here's what Doge claims
it has saved so far on its so-called
wall of receipts. Looking at that today,
214 billion. They say 300,000 federal
workers are no longer with the federal
government. But listen, most of that is
from people who left through attrition
or took early retirements.
Okay, but is this really the standard
that we're holding people to now? We're
not allowed to lie about our
accomplishments. I mean, what's next? I
have to stop telling people that I
crushed the swimming competition at the
Olympics. At least Trump's approach to
immigration has been pristine and
scandal-free. For the third time, the
Trump administration has been ordered to
return a migrant it wrongfully deported.
A college freshman from Austin is now in
Honduras after being arrested by
immigration officials. She was flying
home from Boston to surprise her family
for Thanksgiving. On Friday, the Trump
administration deported three US citizen
children to Honduras, including a
4-year-old boy who was actively
receiving treatment for a rare form of
stage 4 cancer.
Look, that would be scandalous if it was
stage five cancer. But stage 4
Oh, there is no stage five cancer. Stage
four is the worst.
I see. Well, look, everybody makes
mistakes now and then when it comes to
deporting children with cancer.
Remember, we are looking for disgraceful
or discreditable actions. Does extorting
universities, law firms, and news
stations count as scandalous? Not sure.
Does ordering a Republican governor or
legislature to redraw maps so it favors
your party in the midterms constitute a
scandal? Up for debate. Does trying to
curtail free speech in America rise to
the level of a scandal? No one knows.
Does weaponizing your Department of
Justice to target your political enemies
equal a scandal? Scholars are still
toiling over that one. Is lying about
the cost, location, and level of
demolition involved in building your own
personal goddy, unnecessary ballroom
tantamount to a scandal? Jury still out.
And does standing in the way of the
release of any information pertaining to
one practically insignificant
billionaire pedophile or president used
to party with really qualify for a
one-way ticket to Scandal Town?
Are you still talking about Jeffrey
Epstein? I know, crazy, right? It's
like, let it go already. The reality is
when it comes to the lack of scandals
that have taken place over the last 10
months, Donald Trump is either deluded
or lying. And frankly, both are
disqualifying. But let's say for a
second that Donald Trump is the
brilliant man he says he is. If he truly
is the secret prodigy, the confidential
Mensa member that he claims to be on a
daily basis.
As the doctor will tell you, I aced it.
Right, Susie? I aced. I got every
question right. And these are tough
questions. These are questions that I
would say 99% of the people that I'm
talking to right now, meaning the people
that from the fake news would not do
well in this.
If this is true, if these questions are
the toughest yet still no match for
Trump's genius level brain, then that
would mean the sole blind spot, the
singular weakness for our soant of a
commander-in-chief is his inability to
notice disgraceful or discreditable
actions. In other words, our president
is scandalblind. Yes, much in the way of
those who suffer from color blindness,
struggle to differentiate between red
and green due to a deficiency in certain
cone cells in the retina, our
president's eyes struggle to see the
difference between corrupt and honorable
actions. But if Trump really was dealing
with this affliction, one would think
that a man as transparent as him would
be more than forthcoming with this
information and not try to cover it up
like it was some vomitinducing bruise.
On the other hand, if Trump isn't
scandalblind and somehow isn't
Jeopardy's Watson reincarnate, then that
would mean that he is lying. It would
mean that Donald Trump knows every
single facet of each and every scandal,
and he doesn't give a because he is
benefiting. What the rest of America
sees as scandals, Donald Trump sees as
victories. And that's why he surrounds
himself with a cavalcade of sickopants
like this. I can't be more proud of how
you did it, sir. You've created the
greatest cabinet. It is a joy. Listen,
we got a million things to focus on in
the world as a country, but he's the
only leader in the world that can help
end it.
Thank you for fighting for our country.
It is a constant reality distortion
field that gives Donald Trump permission
to continue his consistently corrupt
presidency. While everyone in the world
can see an endless array of scandals
that prevents Americans from affording
their rent, their groceries, and their
healthcare, and is a relentless source
of chaos for our nation as a whole,
that's what this White House refers to
as this is called the fog of war.
Sure.
