A new Harvard poll shows young Americans have lost confidence in government, corporations, and democracy itself. This crisis did not come out of nowhere. It traces back to sweeping political changes that reshaped taxes, unions, education, media, healthcare, and wages over four decades. 2. Sadly, it is the anthesis of democracy that has caused these issues

Billionaires and corporations rigging the system, Republicans cheating to win, and too many Americans anesthetized by entertainment, and not paying attention.

By far, the largest group of Americans is non-voters, so here we are.

We need more democracy, not less and less of it.

3. It is more that our powers that be have lost the respect of our youth

The youth are within their rights to not believe in a conjob, which is what our economic system has been largely. There was a brief period after WW2 where living standards raised for a broad swath of Americans, but not all.
