Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the participants of the military prayer breakfast. On December 6, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Armed Forces. “Today is a special day for us, a day with double meaning. Today is the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Day of Saint Nicholas, which Christians in many European countries and around the world celebrate on December 6th.
"Together we will defend our right to life, our God-given land, our future, and a just peace. I am grateful that more than one prayer today will be dedicated to all of this. Thank you for being here, close, and for this unity that can be truly felt. On this day, I believe that every child in Ukraine will receive what they have long deserved — silence instead of strikes, calm instead of air-raid alerts, and a secure peace instead of all the evil.
