Yoiks.

The rest of the DB article is a largely a breathless regurgitation of Russian talking points, a bit unsettling in the matter of fact way they are provided. It puts Putin's ongoing psychological warfare against the US on full display.

Still:

In spite of their best efforts, Moscow’s mouthpieces had to concede that the debate was nowhere near the finest hour for their preferred candidate. The host of Russia’s 60 Minutes Evgeny Popov conceded, “All the while we’ve been thinking that Biden is feeble, but it turns out he isn’t. He was able to handle the debate well and acted in an absolutely normal way.”

Russian media stating the GOP strategy quiet parts out loud. Prediction? Or an attempt to discourage Americans from exercising their right to vote? Either way, they apparently think we'll put up with another 4+ yrs of this creature without a fight.

Oh, I don't think so. Nope.

It's about time.

Democrats and Republicans reached a deal on a temporary funding bill last week after a disagreement over whether to include farm aid money. The sides eventually settled on a proposal that includes guardrails to prevent the agriculture funds from going to large oil companies, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

She said the measure includes $8 billion for nutrition assistance for schoolchildren and families, and refreshes the Pandemic EBT food aid program for a full year.

Good. Those were the two big sticking points.

I was torn, but have made up my mind: to stop the debates is to let trump 'win' them.

He behaved this way precisely to get the debates cancelled, so that his blatant ignorance and lack of policy are not laid bare before the American people. As painful as the experience is going to be, the debates should go forward. trump should not be allowed to manipulate and break the system this way. Install a mute button for both candidates and continue on. Make trump do his moron dance again and again if that's the way he wants to play it. Make him own his complete lack of maturity and substance while Joe shows the world how a president should behave.

I should hope there are polls saying Biden won.

The consensus among the talking heads tonight is that trump was unable to control himself, that he showed no respect whatsoever for the process and the norms of a debate. He was a national embarrassment. Yes, again, but this was way off the charts.

Also, Facebook has some explaining to do.

https://www.channel4.com/news/revealed-trump-campaign-strategy-to-deter-millions-of-black-americans-from-voting-in-2016

But many of the ads were so called ‘dark posts’, which could vanish from recipients’ feeds once a campaign stopped paying for them.

It means no complete public record exists of the ads posted on Facebook during the 2016 campaign or the audience lists used to target voters. The platform offered no ‘Ad Library’ at the time.

Without Facebook or the campaign itself revealing the information, it means it’s not possible to ascertain exactly how potential voters in the ‘Deterrence’ group may have been targeted on Facebook. [snip]

He added: “I don’t believe Facebook has fully disclosed their role, and fully disclosed the types of ads that were run, who was involved and literally how they may have been embedded in, say, the Trump campaign to make this all come to life.

An excellent explanation.

That [he] has personal guarantees that can be bought by foreign (or domestic) business entities and used for leverage is, without exception, the worst national security exposure our country has ever had, nothing comes close to it,

trump is not only completely unqualified to serve as president, he is financially unfit to even run for the office. He never should have been allowed on the ticket to begin with.

I'm really looking forward to the explanation of the $50 million loan.

Trump may have committed tax fraud by fabricating a loan to avoid paying income taxes on nearly $50 million

Oh, goody - can't wait!
