Sadly true.

Jimmy was right about energy conservation and alternative energy sources, but Reagan made sure to squash any of that as soon as he took office. I'm still angry that he removed the solar panels from the White House.

Obama installed new panels:

The original panels were rescued from storage:

This jumps off the page:

"at that point Meadows stood up from the couch, gave her both of his phones and told her to let him know if Jordan called him."

He was waiting for a phone call from Jim Jordan. Interesting.

Agreed! Luttig also submitted a written statement to the committee.

Memory Lane: Mikie Sherrill raised the alarm about tours, received ethics complaint.

Rachel Maddow is reminding us tonight on her show that Mikie Sherrill blew the whistle on Capitol tours within days of Jan 6, and that she and other Democrats requested the Capitol Police investigation into the matter. They were named in an ethics complaint because of this. One of the three Republicans spearheading the complaint was Barry Loudermilk.

The nerve.

Members of Congress gave ‘reconnaissance’ tours day before attack on capitol, Rep. Mikie Sherrill

U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-11th Dist., said Tuesday she witnessed members of Congress lead “reconnaissance” tours the day before a deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump.

House Republicans File Complaint Against Democrats For Claims That GOP Led ‘Reconnaissance’ Tours Before Capitol Riot

https://dailycaller.com/2021/05/11/house-republicans-ethics-complaint-democrats-reconnaissance-tours-jan-6-capitol-riots/

The complaint, first obtained by the Daily Caller, alleged three specific violations and called for an investigation by the House Ethics Committee into the behavior of over two dozen Democrats. The complaint specifically mentioned a letter sent by New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill and 33 other Democrats to the Capitol Police asking them to investigate unsubstantiated claims that members of Congress led “suspicious” groups through the Capitol Complex on a “reconnaissance” journey ahead of the riot.

The ethics complaint was sent by the top Republicans on the House Administration Committee, Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, Georgia Rep. Barry Loudermilk and Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil.

There were two children.

2:21 smaller child coming through the doorway.

I don't understand why Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger

claims that there was nothing suspicious about these tours and that there was no evidence of reconnaissance. How in the world could he miss it? How could he write a letter to the committee, sign it, send it, and figure there's no problem? Maybe it's unfair of me, but I have serious doubts about this guy.

Former Hill Staffer weighs in.

Former hill staffer here. Aaron is spot on. This is absolutely reconnaissance. I know where every single one of these photos is, and it's checkpoint access to routes into the Capitol. This is a logistics and planning trip for a breach.
Aaron Fritschner @Fritschner · 9h
I am immediately convinced that this is reconnaissance. He's taking pictures of the entry points around the security checkpoint to the Cannon Tunnel, which connects the House Office Buildings to the U.S. Capitol

Unreal.

GA GOP just blatantly went after this and got assistance rather than pushback from the people who should have told them go away. At least Misty Hampton is long gone.

https://www.walb.com/2021/03/31/coffee-co-elections-supervisor-named-investigation-resigns/

Two Coffee County employees resigned from the county’s elections office.

Elections Supervisor Emily Misty Hampton resigned in February. Another top election official also resigned in February.

The Coffee County Elections Board said the two resigned for falsifying timesheets. A WALB open records request found that the two resigned in lieu of termination.

Misty Hampton is the same person who said, "I'm not a babysitter" and other comments that call into question why she ever had the job as an elections supervisor in the first place. More on Hall, Chaney, et al in article below.

So relieved to see subpoenas going out -- may Chaney regret his laughter soon.
