OMG! Titus is back with VW parts! GO BOSCH!

Dunno why Amazon relegated this wonderful series to FreeVee but the first two seasons were above and beyond. Season 3 just dropped.

How times have changed.

I protested the Viet Nam War, Civil Rights, Got within 20 feet of Nixon carrying a "Dump Dick" protest sign and my biggest worries were of jail or a thrown stone but not once was afraid that a Republican with a gun would end my life over it.

Trump has given a signal that honor and civility have no place in the Republican Party but that those things are signs of weaknesses. Bolstered by a few media icons he has seen a weakness in America and, with others, is exploiting it. Accompanied by a hidden group of wealthy autocrats this new cabal seems to be playing their end game by widening the wealth gaps and strengthening the paradigm of monied elections and paid for laws.

Things are really fucked up now and if something isn't done soon there will be a change in America which will turn America into something that only serves a strange corporate hegemony.

Sorry for the rant but this shit is frightening.

Heartlessly.

“They passed a law. Oh, it started very small. In 1950 and '60 it was a grain of sand. They began by controlling books of cartoons and then detective books and, of course, films, one way or another, one group or another, political bias, religious prejudice, union pressures; there was always a minority afraid of something, and a great majority afraid of the dark, afraid of the future, afraid of the past, afraid of the present, afraid of themselves and shadows of themselves.”

― Ray Bradbury, The Martian Chronicles

Seems strangely succinct in today's climate.

Thanks for giving this a moment to be remembered or considered.

Why did it take me so long? The Magic Flute on Hulu and others

F. Murray Abraham killed it as usual.

Great acting, music and story for my tastes at the moment.

Missing the old LBN format and placement so far.

The snippet of text from the article with the source gave enough info to let me know if I wanted to check it out.

As of now I am in the "If it ain't broke don't fix it" contingent.

The Insurrectionist Next Door on MAX (HBO)

Alexandra Pelosi turns her camera on some of the people who stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Through a series of candid interviews, Pelosi talks to several individuals charged with crimes for their participation. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29466126/

I was glued to the tube with this one. Amazing insights into a sampling of the J6 participants.

Why NASA's Psyche probe is embarking on humanity's first journey to a metal asteroid

/snip
How much is 16 Psyche worth?

That's the $US10,000 quadrillion ($15,600 quadrillion) question.

Lindy Elkins-Tanton, lead mission scientist, once suggested the asteroid could be worth that amount.

That number is highly speculative, as Professor Elkins-Tanton noted in a 2017 interview, and the bigger problem is we'd have to find a way to mine its minerals.

16 Psyche would be a great resource, said Andrew Tomkins, an earth and planetary scientist at Monash University, "if you can find a way to bring it down to the Earth's surface ... without making a big hole in the ground".

Loki binge day! Re-watched season one and Watched season 2 episode one (Nerd alert)

Season one held up well as a re-watch (which is usually not so for me) and the premier season two episode was a lot of fun as well.

Anyone else have an opinion?
