LetMyPeopleVote's JournalA different spin on a Saturday night massacre
I have been worried about Saturday night massacres at the DOJ but not on trump's defense team

Evidently trump was demanding that these attorneys argue that trump is still POTUS and was the victim of massive voter fraud

The Lincoln Project's legal response to the false and defamatory statements made by Rudy Giuliani.
I love this letter. It is a great letter that lists all of Rudy's failures and gives him until Feb. 3 to apologize. This will be fun to watch

Seems like the Trump Administration lost track of 20 million vaccine doses
trump had no plan for vaccine distribution and did not keep track of the vaccine distributed

Black Lives Matter movement nominated for Nobel peace prize
This will piss off trump

In his nomination papers, the Norwegian MP Petter Eide said the movement had forced countries outside the US to grapple with racism within their own societies.
I find that one of the key challenges we have seen in America, but also in Europe and Asia, is the kind of increasing conflict based on inequality, Eide said. Black Lives Matter has become a very important worldwide movement to fight racial injustice.
They have had a tremendous achievement in raising global awareness and consciousness about racial injustice.

The Black Lives Matter movement has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel peace prize for the way its call for systemic change has spread around the world.
In his nomination papers, the Norwegian MP Petter Eide said the movement had forced countries outside the US to grapple with racism within their own societies.

This Is Why Texas Is the Next Georgia
A good number of hard core Democrats have been working hard to turn Texas blue. There are some demographic studies that indicate that Texas will be blue around 2024 or so just due to GOP voters dying off and being replaced by younger non-white voters. The analysis about Georgia is helpful as to how to speed up the process
https://twitter.com/thenation/status/1355154234749161472
Texas at the start of this decade is actually even more promising than Georgia was at the start of the last decade. The Lone Star State has the second-largest pool of nonvoting people of color of any state in the country (second only to already-blue California), and the number of potential voters of color far exceeds the margin of difference in statewide elections. Joe Biden lost Texas by 631,221 votes, and despite the record turnout on both sides, 4.5 million eligible people of color still did not vote, according to exit polls and Census data. In 2018, Beto ORourke lost his Senate bid by 215,000 votes in an election in which 5.4 million people of color didnt cast ballots. The still-untapped potential in Texas is enormous, which is exactly why the conservatives work so hard to suppress the vote there.
I was pleased to see that this article discusses the Texas Organizing Project. TOP helped elect a friend to be the first African American district attorney in my county (thank you George Soros for funding this)
Texas has so many Mexican Americans and African Americans (a combined 53 percent of the states population) for a reasonthe land there used to belong to Mexico and was annexed into the United States through war and bloodshed in the 1840s so that the residents of the state could continue to hold Black people in chattel slavery. Just as Abramss success is rooted in Georgias civil rights history, it is not inconsequential that Mexican-American and African-American daughters of Texas are leading an organization that is entrenched in and driving change.
Texas will turn blue and after this happens, the GOP will not be able to win the electoral college
Beto may run for Governor
I and others tried our best to get one of the Castro brothers to run for governor in 2018. I attended a local town hall with over 150 other democrats to try to get Joaquin to run. He and I talked afterwards (we were both delegates to the Philadelphia convention). There are many in the Texas party who are still pissed at the Castro brothers for not stepping up during a blue wave year to run and while I like Lupe, she was a weak candidate.
I would love to see Beto run for Governor https://politicalwire.com/2021/01/28/orourke-may-run-for-texas-governor/
Former Rep. Beto ORourke (D-TX) said he is considering a 2022 gubernatorial run, setting up a potential challenge against incumbent Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), The Hill reports.
Said ORourke: Its something Im gonna think about.
