Three questions for MAGAts raising laptop issue. (four in total)

1) Would it be worse if it were 2 billion dollars instead of 2 million?

"Yes".

2) Would it be worse if it weren't a private citizen, but instead a government official?

"Yup".

3) Would it be worse if the older family member was president and not Vice President?

"For sure!".

then drop them with

4) So Jared Kushner's and tRump's deal was much much worse, right?

Easy for me to say, but if that happens grab the hand and run with it. Let the perp explain

Easy for me to say, but perhaps best to make a spectacle right then and there to put a stop to it and shine a spotlight on the perpetrator. Probably also a groomer.

Easy for me to say because it would also attract withering attention on the person (almost always a woman) who was victimized and took action. However, at a dining event like that it is unlikely that any explanation by the asshole would make any kind of sense. If the privileged idiot is dragged by their hand out on the floor, their story would not be believed. "I was sitting eating my dinner and she grabbed my hand and threw me to the ground for no reason at all!"

Failing being able to grab the hand or being unable to defensively retaliate with a slap or something, calling it out then and there, making a huge angry shout and stink would have the effect of forcing shitty dicks back into the shadows. With the ensuing publicity, others may come forward. A hand up a skirt at dinner is unlikely to be the first time it was tried.

Easy for me to say and I have strong sympathy for those who remain silent or only speak up years later. It is so shocking that it is paralyzing in the event and in memory.

Absolutely failing. Both-sides-ism is bad enough, but unbalanced both-sides-ism is worse

When tRump did awful things, the media knocked him, but only so much and not enough. The net effect was normalizing tRumpism to some extent.

When Biden accomplishes good things, the media knock him, but too much. The net effect is engendering upset and unjustified outrage.

tRump goes to 11 on bad crap, media response is at level 5.
Biden has a few level 3 blips, media response is against him at level 5.

That is unbalanced.

Fox viewers are less likely to believe lies after being paid to watch CNN for 30 days: study

Source: RawStory

A groundbreaking new study paid viewers of the Fox News Network to watch CNN for 30 days. What they found is that the viewers ultimately became more skeptical and less likely to buy into fake news. The early impacts, after just three days, showed that the viewers were already starting to change.

[link:https://osf.io/jrw26/ The findings of the study], written by David E. Brockman and Joshua L. Kalla, explained that the experiment used content analysis comparing the two networks during Sept. 2020.

{...}

At the three-day mark, the viewers took a survey. "We found large effects of watching CNN instead of Fox News on participants' factual perceptions of current events (i.e., beliefs) and knowledge about the 2020 presidential candidates' positions," they found. They discovered changes in attitudes about Donald Trump and Republicans as well as a large effect on their opinions about COVID.

The viewers also evolved to believe that if Donald Trump made a mistake, "Fox News would not cover it—i.e., that Fox News engages in partisan coverage filtering."
