rump cronies on trial in middle of R primaries. Expect a party-splitting battle royale

DeSantis is betting on the rump sinking under the weight of his crimes around that time. Otherwise he'd wait until 2028, as he would have been wiser to do, to let the rump self-destruct and come in to mop up the pieces and take the R crown.

If you think R and D politics are highly polarized (they are), then you ain't seen nothin' yet till you see the Always-Trumpers go head to head against the Never-Trumpers; the latter group including people who voted twice for him but never again.

The vows to not vote for one or the other in the general election are flying thick.

The Always magats accuse DeSantis of selling out to the GOPelite and being the Deep State candidate for their fear of the rump.

The DeSantis supporters accuse the rump of being unelectable, undisciplined, and failed to "drain the swamp". They highlight the rump's unceasing grievances about 2020. They think the rump is the Deep State's candidate for the R primaries because they are sure Biden can defeat him again.

One take-away: They all use the "Deep State" as an all-purpose bogeyman.

People, please: people are "who", NOT "that". We say "thing that does", "person who does"

Not singling anyone out, but so many people get upset at the objectification of other people or themselves, and then "person that" like a thing instead of using "who".

We never say "the thing who does something".

Likewise, they objectify people when they say "the waiter serviced the couple at the table". Things are "serviced", people are "served".

I think there is an unfortunate association in people's minds of "serving" with slavery and servitude. Get over it. Also, we do with some justification say things like "the sex worker serviced their client" because it is impersonal compared to a committed loving relationship.

Cars are serviced.
People are served.

A person who writes carefully.
An AI that writes negligently.

We can be better than a sloppy AI and we shouldn't treat people like AIs.

When "white supremacist" stings, the shoe probably fits.

Non-WS people accused of WS can laugh it off.

WS people have to go into full-throated gibbon-face denial complete with a disgustingly over-played victim card.

Out of thin air eMpTyGreene has ginned up a controversy over phraseology and thereby she succeeded partially in diverting attention away from the fundamental issue: she is a stupid racist who is barely smart enough to keep it concealed most of the time.

Calling All Politicians To Account is the key to ratings, not R/D "diversity"

RepubliConners get enough free air time as it is, especially if you factor in Fox, ONAN, and NewsMax.

The media fear lack of access. They don't know their own power to shame. Is that for the best? I don't know. But if they did shame politicians afraid of being confronted, they would get lots of access and appearances where they could ask actually hard questions. Repeating them when dodged. Following up. That's the kind of drama that makes ratings.

It would take time, like half an hour (22 minutes) with a politician. The pols could have time to put forward positive cases for their political agenda, but should be cut off when they start dwelling on criticisms of the opposition.

Slogan could be something like "We give the politicians time for positives but we do our job to hold them to account" (too wordy).

Let the pols motivate positively or not at all.
It's the media's job to ask hard questions and probe negatives.

Reduce polarization and raise ratings.

Ultimate Grooming

The ultimate form of grooming is CONservative grooming of children into roles where men are dominant and women are subservient. It is especially rampant in christian CONservative families.

The traditional roles allow (these days) women to work until they get pregnant, but careers are frowned upon. Men rule the household and their word is law. Women must obey men.

By reinforcing traditional stereotypes, powerful men "grab pussies" and get away with it. Women are not believed and inhibit themselves from speaking up and speaking out.

Things like enhanced sex education in schools with discussion of important issues like Me-Too and abortion and respect are a way to counteract CON grooming of children. (Florida, anyone?) Providing safe spaces for kids and flooding them with rights-affirming education is important. There are other things to be done and perhaps posters here will suggest some.

"Parental rights" is a CON codeword for grooming, just like "States Rights" is a codeword for white supremacy and has been for 200 years.

This Ultimate Grooming is oppression and a waste of human potential. It must stop.
