I had a dream last night!
I dreamed that someone had just told me that Trump would be indicted in 3 days. Last time I had a dream that something dramatic was going to happen was when I dreamed John Lennon had died.
Funny how history repeats itself!
Putins hubris in Ukraine recalls Russias disastrous war with Japan
Vladimir Putin has taken to comparing himself to some of his czarist predecessors, invoking their military triumphs. In June, he praised Peter the Great for taking back and reinforcing territory in the Baltics in the Great Northern War in the 18th century.
But as Putins effort to conquer parts of Ukraine slogs into its sixth month, some historians feel he more closely resembles Nicholas II, whose 1904-1905 war against Japan was an unmitigated disaster.
The parallels between the two conflicts are undeniable. Just as Nicholas underestimated his Japanese adversary, so did Putin, who was convinced that his invasion of Ukraine would be a walkover.

Neighbor problems - suggestions
Im having a problem with my neighbors and trying to figure out what to do.
Im a 63 year old white woman. My downstairs neighbor is an older African man ( originally from Nigeria). He lives there with his nephew (maybe 30-35) and his nephews girlfriend.
They have a loud barking dog and play the TV and sometimes music really loud at all times of the night, sometimes all night. Ive talked to him. He is somewhat deaf and sometimes falls asleep with the TV on.
A few days ago, the girl comes knocking at the door like the police. My husband and I answered the door and she asked if I reported her to the SPCA about the dog. They keep the dog outside in the heat or cold all the time, hes very skinny and he barks constantly. I told her no. I didnt report her.
So already she thinks I called the dog police on her. I told her that I didnt (maybe I should have, somebody did). She used to be friendly but the last time I saw her she gave me the stink eye.
Im about sick of the noise. I work. I dont want to get up, get dressed, go down the stairs at midnight to tell them to turn down the noise but I also dont want to seem like a Karen by calling the police to come out and tell them to cut it out. And I really dont want to be responsible for calling if the police comes out and ends up shooting someone.

Here's a challenge
We all grew up starting out listening to music that your parents listened to. I challenge you to post some of your moms or dads music that you both like. My mom loved (probably still does )Dean Martin. So for your listening pleasure.
