I don’t think everyone remembers that Zelensky was the leader on the other end of the “I want you to do me a favor though” phone call. I sense the first impeachment sounded kinda obscure to some people. But withholding lethal aid was both an actual crime and a moral crime.***********

Former Attorney General William Barr writes in a new book that former President Donald Trump has “shown he has neither the temperament nor persuasive powers to provide the kind of positive leadership that is needed,” and that it is time for Republicans to focus on rising new leaders in the party, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Barr writes that he was convinced that Trump could have won re-election in 2020 if he had “just exercised a modicum of self-restraint, moderating even a little of his pettiness.”

In other words, the shit is about to hit the fan-ski.
Russians have a very acute memory of the country's currency crisis in 1998 - and Putin has always presented his rule as the stable alternative to that kind of chaos. The ruble on Monday will change that.
