Global corporate behemoth and villain Monsanto continues to insist that its flagship product, Roundup, is “safe enough to drink” (despite the fact that one of their executives refused to drink it when offered a glass of the product). Company representatives insist that the growing body of scientific evidence of Roundup’s carcinogenicity is “unproven.”

Around 1995, Christine Sheppard started using Roundup on her commercial coffee crop, believing Monsanto’s claims that the product was perfectly safe. After several years, Christine began experiencing unusual fatigue and unexplained weight loss. In 2003, she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This is a type of blood cancer that starts in the lymphatic cells. While its progress can be slowed with chemotherapy and radiation symptoms, it is almost invariably fatal. It is also a form of cancer suffered by a large number of farmers and other agricultural workers who have been exposed to Roundup for extended periods of time. The following year, she and her husband were forced to sell the coffee plantation and return to the mainland in order to seek treatment.

Vanity Fair’s Sarah Ellison reported in June that Trump was already discussing plans for a “mini-media conglomerate” that would presumably leverage the supporters he’s drawn to his presidential candidacy over the past year.

On Wednesday, The New York Times added to the growing speculation about Trump’s post-election agenda. Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner, publisher of the New York Observer, “have quietly explored becoming involved with a media holding, either by investing in one or by taking one over,” the Times reported.

The notion that a presidential candidate would be competing hardest in the waning months of an election for potential subscribers or viewers down the line is unprecedented in American politics. But Trump’s recent actions have suggested to a number of journalists and political operatives that his greatest ambition might not be the White House.

Evidence is mounting to support the notion that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump knows he’s going to lose the 2016 election but doesn’t care because his real plan is to start a new media company when he loses.

He went on, “Well, what if Trump loses? Think about who he has on his team now. Steve Bannon, Roger Ailes informally, Roger Stone, the confidante who’s known for his dirty tricks. I think we have to at least consider that possibility even if Trump would never acknowledge that’s real today.”

“Tens of millions of Americans invested in you, not because they gave a damn about you, but because they love their country,” Lonsberry thundered. “And because you convinced them you could lead their country out of the doldrums of decay created by progressive globalists. Conservative radio host: ‘We’ve created this monster’ of fact-hating right-wing voter

In an interview with Business Insider’s Oliver Darcy, a conservative radio host lamented the fact that conservative media has conditioned its followers to distrust the mainstream media so much that they have become fact-free “monsters.”

In a tweet promoting an upcoming piece on rightwing media, Darcy posted an excerpt from an interview with conservative radio host Charlie Sykes who claims candidates like Donald Trump can say anything on the stump without fear of being fact-checked by the likes of Fox News or conservative websites.

“We’ve basically eliminated any of the referees, the gatekeepers. There’s nobody. Let’s say that Donald Trump basically makes whatever you want to say, whatever claim he wants to make. And everybody knows it’s a falsehood,” he explained. “The big question of my audience, it is impossible for me to say that. ‘By the way, you know it’s false.’ And they’ll say, ‘Why? I saw it on Allen B. West.’ Or they’ll say, ‘I saw it on a Facebook page.’ And I’ll say, ‘The New York Times did a fact check.’ And they’ll say, Oh, that’s The New York Times. That’s bullshit.'”

Ben Shapiro, the former editor for Breitbart News, told CNN on Wednesday that Donald Trump’s campaign had become a “turd tornado” after hiring Breitbart Chairman Steve Bannon.

Republican Mayor Richard Berry was driving around Albuquerque last year when he saw a man on a street corner holding a sign that read: “Want a Job. Anything Helps.”

Throughout his administration, as part of a push to connect the homeless population to services, Berry had taken to driving through the city to talk to panhandlers about their lives. His city’s poorest residents told him they didn’t want to be on the streets begging for money, but they didn’t know where else to go.

Seeing that sign gave Berry an idea. Instead of asking them, many of whom feel dispirited, to go out looking for work, the city could bring the work to them.

Next month will be the first anniversary of Albuquerque’s There’s a Better Way program, which hires panhandlers for day jobs beautifying the city. In partnership with a local nonprofit that serves the homeless population, a van is dispatched around the city to pick up panhandlers who are interested in working. The job pays $9 an hour, which is above minimum wage, and provides a lunch. At the end of the shift, the participants are offered overnight shelter as needed.

The number of women who have come forward in the investigation to say they were victims of Mr. Ailes reaches into the double-digits, people familiar with the matter said.

21st Century Fox is anticipating having to reach settlements with some of those accusers, the people said.

Still, more women have been coming forward. New York Magazine, for example, reported that in 2011, former Fox News employee Laurie Luhn received a settlement of $3.15 million after making a complaint of sexual harassment against Mr. Ailes. She told the Paul, Weiss investigators that she had been harassed by the executive for more than 20 years, according to the article. Mr. Ailes has denied the allegations. His lawyer Susan Estrich didn’t respond to requests for comment.
