Pat Robertson warned that the backlash to Indiana’s anti-LGBT law signaled a renewed assault on Americans’ sexual practices and “deeply held Christian beliefs.”
The televangelist brought up during Thursday’s broadcast of the “700 Club” a pizza shop owner in the state who made national news when she told a TV reporter that she would not cater food at a same-sex wedding, reported Right Wing Watch.
“Pizzas? I think, you know, you might as well keep your mouth shut,” Robertson said. “I’m not sure I would serve pizza for a gay wedding. Most gays, if they’re having a wedding, don’t want pizzas – they want cake. It’s the cake makers that are having the problem.”
Robertson warned that if gay couples were permitted to serve Christian-baked cakes during their wedding reception, there’s no telling where they would stop.

Ireland's largest bookmaker odds on the 2016 election
For the record I am ABSOLUTELY NOT a Hillary supporter. I am just reposting the results of Paddy Power Ireland's largest bookmakerBusiness Insider reached out to Paddy Power, Ireland's largest bookmaker, for their odds on the election. So far, Hillary Clinton is the overwhelming favorite.
According to spokesman Rory Scott, as of last Sunday evening, Paddy Power had taken over 5,000 individual bets on the election. In 2012, the company said over $3 million in bets were made on the election. They expect over $6 million in bets for this race. Overall, Scott predicted betting on the 2016 race will be a $100 million industry in the United Kingdom.
For the general election, Scott said Paddy Power derives the odds based on the prices for each candidate to be their party's nominee and that party's odds of winning. As of Sunday evening, Clinton was the favorite followed by several Republicans. Scott noted she received about 33% of the individual bets made on the race.

Cliff Kincaid of "Accuracy in Media": The Huffington Post Is A 'Gay Porn Outlet' -

Cliff Kincaid of the right-wing group Accuracy In Media is deeply troubled by President Obama’s decision to give an interview with The Huffington Post, which he claims is actually a pornography website.
In a BarbWire column, “Obama Gives Interview To Gay Porn Outlet,” Kincaid alleges that the prominent news organization peddles gay pornography, along with “pro-Arab, pro-Muslim and anti-Israel” views.
President Obama’s interview with The Huffington Post (HuffPost) has been treated as if the on-line publication is somehow respectable and legitimate. The topics of the interview included budget sequestration, the Iran nuclear talks, presidential pardons, overtime pay, athletic scholarships and sleep. Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth notes that The Huffington Post’s “Gay Voices” section has run a video of movie scenes with full-frontal male nudity.
In addition to publishing and promoting pornography, The Huffington Post is a “progressive” platform for advocates of abortion, homosexual rights and marijuana legalization. It was named after Arianna Huffington’s ex-husband, Michael Huffington, who was born rich and then turned gay. (In this case, apparently, being gay was a choice). She used his money from a divorce settlement to start the on-line “news” service in 2005.
On foreign policy, the publication is pro-Arab, pro-Muslim and anti-Israel. One report documents how it works hand-in-glove with Al Jazeera.
The blog known as Huff-Watch has documented the publication’s “pathological, malicious incitement of hate against the U.S. military, Israel and Jews, the Tea Party and conservative individuals and organizations.” … None of this seems to bother Obama, however, or at least those in the administration who decide who or what publications he talks to. If you want to study all the tricks of the trade in the matter of a “progressive” media bias that approaches the absurd, The Huffington Post is worth analyzing. One has to wonder if the editors realize how ridiculous their bias makes them look. -

Israel’s Foreign Minister calls for beheading Arab citizens and it’s not anywhere in the NYT
Two days ago Israel’s foreign minister called for beheading Arab citizens of Israel who are “against us.” Haaretz did the story yesterday. So did Newsweek. Israeli foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman has said that Arab citizens who are not loyal to the state of Israel should have their heads “chopped off with an axe”. The minister, leader of the Yisrael Beiteinu party and an outspoken critic of Israel’s Arab population, made the controversial remarks on Sunday in a speech to an election rally held in the western Israeli city of Herzliya ahead of the March 17 vote. “Those who are with us deserve everything, but those who are against us deserve to have their heads chopped off with an axe,” the ultra-nationalist politician said. The incitement resulted in a call to behead Haneen Zoabi, the outspoken Palestinian member of Knesset, as reported by this Arabic site and (translated by the new head of the US Committee to End the Occupation, Yousef Munayyer): -
Lara Friedman of Peace Now has been pushing the story, including Lieberman’s call for “transfer,” or ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. “Not the Onion,” she says. But this story is no joke at all. What would happen if a Palestinian politician called for beheading some Jews? How loudly would our media decry such statements? This morning the New York Times had still not covered the story. National Public Radio has given Lieberman a platform in the past. NPR host Robert Siegel also spent an hour interviewing Lieberman at the Brookings institution. Shouldn’t NPR be covering Lieberman’s latest views? Radio silence. -

Muslim-Americans in Houston, shaken by this attack, were already shaken not just by the Chapel Hill shooting, but by the bigoted rush of white Americans arguing that the execution of three Muslim-Americans was really just about a parking dispute. They were already shaken because they know to be true what family of the victims understand: that this wasn't about parking, but the same hatred which ignited their place of worship in Houston. They were already shaken by the brutality of the crime in Chapel Hill — leaked information indicates the three young citizens were lined up on the ground, kneeling, and shot in the back of their heads execution style. And they were already shaken knowing that, had a Muslim perpetrated this crime, it would have been proclaimed a terror attack.

Today it has been confirmed that Kayla Mueller, 26, was killed Friday by a Jordanian airstrike on ISIS positions in Syria. Mueller had been held by ISIS since August 2013 when she was kidnapped leaving a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Aleppo. Originally from Prescott, Arizona, she was in the country working with Syrian refugees.
Her parents, Carl and Marsha Mueller, issued a statement saying:
“We are heartbroken to share that we’ve received confirmation that Kayla Jean Mueller, has lost her life . . . Kayla was a compassionate and devoted humanitarian. She dedicated the whole of her young life to helping those in need from freedom, justice and peace… Our hearts are breaking for our only daughter, but we will continue in peace, dignity and love for her.”
President Obama released a statement today saying, “Kayla represents what is best about America.”
Mueller’s work in Palestine had been with the International Solidarity Movement in the summer of 2010. The ISM published the following remembrance before Mueller’s death was confirmed:
Our hearts are with Kayla, her family, friends, and all those who have lost liberty, lives and loved ones in the global struggle for freedom and human rights.
With the ISM, Kayla worked with Palestinians nonviolently resisting the confiscation and demolitions of their homes and lands. In the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of Occupied East Jerusalem, she stayed with the Al Kurd family to try and prevent the takeover of their home by Israeli settlers.
Kayla accompanied Palestinian children to school in the neighborhood of Tel Ruimeda in Al-Khalil (Hebron) where the children face frequent attacks by the Israeli settlers and military. She stayed with villagers in Izbat Al Tabib in a protest tent to try to prevent the demolition of homes in the village. She joined weekly Friday protests in Palestinian villages against the confiscation of their lands due to Israel’s illegal annexation wall and settlements.

The rumor of these parties spread when KQED reported that Julie Schiffman, a local mother who decided not to vaccinate her children, declined an invitation to one. Now, Dr. Gil Chavez of the California Department of Public Health has issued a statement, urging parents to resist the bananas trend:
“CDPH strongly recommends against the intentional exposure of children to measles as it unnecessarily places the exposed children at potentially grave risk and could contribute to further spread of the outbreak… Measles is a serious illness that can have significant consequences.”
“People did this with chicken pox all the time,” said Art Reingold, an epidemiologist at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health in an interview. ”Parents would have kids lick a lollipop and give it to other kids, or mail it to other kids… The basic notion is ‘This is my opportunity for my kid to get immune the old fashioned way, the way God intended.’”
“The difference is we have a measles vaccine today, which is incredibly safe and highly effective,” Reingold said in another interview with the L.A. Times. “It just doesn’t make sense to say I’d rather have my kids get the measles than the measles vaccine. That’s… based on misinformation that the measles is a benign childhood illness.”
