A thread elsewhere here about Katie Porter's latest appearance on Laurence O'Donnell's show reminded me how much I like her style and how much I'd love to see her get elected to higher office. She is one kick-butt Democrat and a firebrand, of which we can use more. But so is AOC. So here's the question -- Who would you prefer to run for higher office -- Katie or AOC? (And to add a postcript to answer some of the comments, my inspiration for the thread was that the two have different styles.)

Biden administration to distribute 400 million N95 masks to the public for free

Washington (CNN)The Biden administration will make 400 million N95 masks available to Americans for free starting next week, a White House official told CNN, the latest federal step aimed at reining in the US' Covid-19 surge.
The masks -- which are coming from the Strategic National Stockpile -- will be made available at a number of local pharmacies and community health centers, the official said, adding that the program will be "fully up and running by early February."
"This is the largest deployment of personal protective equipment in US history," the official said.
People looking to pick up the free masks will be limited to three per person, a White House official said.

I have bought the game for many years and never really played it to the hilt until this year. I love it, though I confess I have an awful record with online opponents. But I really enjoy it. My next goal is getting the Will Clark 99 card they just issued. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Repugs are nothing more than saboteurs
I don't think I've ever heard that word used to describe them, but that's really what it's all about. Sabotage Biden and sabotage the country ... just to stay in power. There's no intention to do anything good. Well, except to take care of their rich buds.
But the word "sabotage" needs to be repeated when talking about them. It's a harsh word and one that will sting. But, hey, that's good.

The estranged wife of Stewart Rhodes, the leader of the far-right group Oath Keepers, said he is a "complete sociopath."
Rhodes' wife Tasha Adams made the comments in an interview with CNN on Friday, a day after Rhodes was charged with seditious conspiracy in connection to the Capitol riot.

Adams said she was relieved to hear he was indicted, as she "lived in fear" of him showing up at her house.
"Knowing we were safe and my kids were safe and my kids' school doesn't have to worry, that was a relief I didn't know existed," she said.
