Near top of Fake (Fox) website is a promo for four-part Hunter Biden series

Four parts? Where's the 10-part series on Trump corruption, you bimbos?

"Hunter Biden is no stranger to scandal. Watch the four-part series that chronicles the life of our President's son like you've never seen before."

Yeah, "never seen before" because it's all bullshit. At least they acknowledge the Orange Idiot isn't president anymore.

Faces "Maybe I'm Amazed," "Stay With Me"

I loved seeing these guys live in the '70s. Between Rod's prancing around the stage, Ron Wood and his wonderful slide guitar, Kenny Jones' great backbeat and Ronnie Lane and Ian McLagan, they were, in my view, the Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band in the World for a period in the '70s. At one show in Berkeley, during "Across the Plynth," while Wood was playing his long song, a couple of the guys (I think Rod and Ronnie Lane) came out carrying what looked like a flag they unfurled. That's what it was ... from a Holiday Inn. Every concert was a party. It's too bad Ronnie Wood left them for the Stones. In my view, he was better with the Faces than the Stones.

In tripping around YouTube, I found this clip of Rod, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones in a reunion from 2020. Never saw this before. Still rockin' away.

One thing I really miss now ...

.. is seeing classic films on the big screen. Last one I saw was "Casablanca," which is one of my favorite films. It was even better on the big screen.

The Beatles (George Harrison) - While My Guitar Gently Weeps (acoustic)

I first heard this on a bootleg years before it was released by the Beatles legitimately. It floored me then and still does. If you get to Vegas and see the LOVE show, it's heard at the climax of the show. It's an unforgettable moment, as is this version with George playing it on acoustic guitar with minimal accompaniment.

Yoko Ono - Walking on Thin Ice

I'm a Yoko Ono fan. Honest. And this is one of my favorite songs. She and John Lennon were recording this song the night John was murdered. That's him on guitar.

The key to appreciating her, in my view, is that she uses her voice also as an instrument. Like her art, anything can happen. She's not everyone's taste, but it's not as impossible to like her as media impressions indicate.

Here's an article about the song.

Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, Steve Winwood, Prince - "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

For all the crap the Rock Hall of Fame has caused, it has had some great moments. This is one of them. I almost think Prince's playing
here beats his stunning Super Bowl halftime show. God, is he missed or what! In any event, a spectacular performance all around.

"Raspberry Beret" -- My favorite Prince song

Was never that big a fan, but this song, with its psychedelic flavor, has remained my favorite.

Hargus 'Pig' Robbins, Country Hall of Famer, dead at 84

Robbins' credits with Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, Neil Young, Kenny Rogers, Charlie Rich, k.d. lang, Miranda Lambert, Sturgill Simpson, Dolly Parton and hundreds of others may make him one of the most-recorded pianists of all time.

Hargus “Pig” Robbins, a Country Music Hall of Fame member who played piano on thousands of Nashville sessions and was renowned to Bob Dylan fans for his work on “Blonde on Blonde,” has died at age 84. No cause of death was immediately given.

Robbins’ first major hit as a session man had him playing on George Jones’ classic “White Lightning,” and from there he moved on to providing the piano parts on Patsy Cline’s “I Fall to Pieces,” “Crazy” and “Back in Baby’s Arms.” Smashes of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s that included his distinctive piano parts included Charlie Rich’s “Behind Closed Doors” and “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World,” Crystal Gayle’s “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” Loretta Lynn’s “You’re Looking at Country” and “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” Lynn and Conway Twitty’s “After the Fire is Gone,” Jones’ “She Thinks I Still Care” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors,” Roger Miller’s “King of the Road” and “Dang Me,” Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler,” Porter Wagoner’s “Green, Green Grass of Home,” Tammy Wynette’s “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” and Tanya Tucker’s “Delta Dawn.”
