You are correct, this crowd is "Clueless" beyond belief. Stupidity is rampant there.

Because of their success, they will always be "clueless." Perhaps when the family falls, and falls all the way down, wherever that is, whenever that is, then a member or two of that group will self examine and figure out that change needs to be made in their attitude, what they have learned, and who they are.

but....until then, their stupidity is their family trait. It shines so bright that the rest of what that family is, is lost in the overwhelming brightness of that one word..stupid

Long speeches?. Who was Edward Everett? or the other speaker that day?

Edward Everett was a well known speaker, politician, historian and well known and respected leader. (well known then, not now) Was governor of Mass. in the middle of the 1800s. Now he was asked to give one of his best speeches, which he spent a great time preparing for. It was at the dedication of a battlefield during the Civil War. The speech went on for almost 2 hours.. History of War, battles, killing etc. He covered everything. Over 13,000 words. This was to be his greatest speech.. It was November 19, 1863....

Well...the other speaker that day spoke for about 2 and 1/2 minutes. His speech, was short, to the point, and well respected. So..which speech is known about today? It is more than 150 years later. Have you ever heard of Edward Everett?..or have you heard of the Lincoln Gettysburg Address that goes,...."Four score and seven years ago,"...yes, 2 and 1/2 minutes.Here is the entire speech 272 words.

"Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, on this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Tom Hanks to play Mr. Rogers in a new movie,

It is official - Tom Hanks will be playing Mr Rogers in the upcoming biopic about the life of the beloved Fred Rogers.

Announced by Sony TriStar Pictures on Monday, the role will feature Hanks playing Rogers in the film titled 'You Are My Friend.'

Rogers is known for his role as Mr Rogers in the iconic children’s television show, Mister Roger’s Neighborhood - and many are pleased with the casting.

President Donald Trump is expected to trumpet a unity message in his State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, an attempt to turn a corner from the divisiveness of his first year in office.

New polling on that first year of Trump shows that the President has a lot of work to do in bringing the country together. There are just 12 states where Trump's job approval rating was above 50% for the entirety of 2017. That pales in comparison to the 41 states where then-President Barack Obama was above 50% approval for his first year on office.

The numbers are reflective of two things:

1. Trump's overall job approval number nationwide was never over 50% in Gallup polling at any point in 2017. Trump's high point was 366 days ago when he was at 45% approval and 47% disapproval. The last time Trump's approval was over 40% in Gallup polling was at the end of May 2017 -- when he was at 41%. Trump averaged the lowest job approval number -- 38% -- of any president ever in his first year in office in Gallup data. At the end of 2009, Obama's approval rating was at 57%.

2. Trump's most loyal voters -- and states -- are staying with him. His job approval was highest in places like West Virginia, North Dakota and Wyoming where he won by huge margins in 2016. (One interesting note: Democratic senators are running for re-election in both West Virginia and North Dakota this fall.) Many of those states are also less populated.

A quote I've seen at DU, "Trump doesn't know what is coming" is true.

Trump has pissed off the FBI, the Justice Department, previous office holders, the media, Democratic Party, certain leaders in Europe, most of the people in the U.S. and so on, and on. He has the lowest approval rating of any president at this time. He creates and sends out evil and "hate." When the payback comes, it will as vicious as what Trump has created. I don't know when or what, but it will arrive. When it does, I think we will all know it, and we also know, that he deserves it. All of it.

Let us have a moment of silence for the ..."Spelling Police"

and another moment for the .." Dictionary Devotees"..........

I used to use the dictionaries a lot. But that seems to be a thing of the past, due to this particular machine that I am typing these words on. Somewhere, somehow the program, corrects spelling mistakes automatically. How is that done?...Why is that done?...Who did it? Didn't the criminal who did this realize how much it would hurt the sales of my favorite reference ..."The Dictionary" ???

Now this new parameter doesn't work always, but most of the time it does it in a correct way. And it does this in a way, that is automatic, right away, instantly... no time to look up the spelling. I don't really know what else to say other than this....I hope this helps someone, somewhere, out there, get our minds off of "politics" into the important venue of ........."Dictionary Devotion".............................

I Don't Think the "Media" likes "Eagles vs Patriots".... in the "Superbowl"

Now, this is just an opinion. That's all. The Media likes two teams from totally "major" cities. Now no offense is intended, but "New England" vs Philadelphia would not be considered .. major in the eyes of the big wig "media bosses." I must say, I don't care one way or another, but I think the "media" would like another "L.A" vs "New York".

Why?..."L.A." vs "New York" get higher ratings than "Philadelphia" vs "New England" But as Sargent Shultz used to say..."I know nothing." and in this case, I am stating an opinion from a non football fan. I am from the Midwest.............."Go Cubs"....?

Why the "big lie" from Trump won't work this time. Trump is a known liar

Repeat...Everyone knows that Donald Trump is a liar

Whatever he says is suspicious. He lies all the time, almost every time. The great majority of people know this.

So here is the truth. Most people in the U.S.A. need not listen to Trump on this issue. All people have to do is look at which political party has control of the White House, and which political party has a majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

That political party is responsible for running the federal government. No matter what anybody says that political party has the responsibility for running the federal government of the U.S.A.

Now, every time someone, anyone says that this shutdown is the Democratic Party's fault, everyone know that statement is a lie because one political party, (not the Democratic Party) controls the White House and has a majority in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Yes, every time, any time, they blame the Democrats it will be a lie. The more they blame the Democratic Party, the more the country will blame the Republican Party because of what the Republican Party controls. Yes, about 20 to 25 percent will follow Trump anywhere anytime. That is who they are. But eventually, 75 to 80 percent will see the truth.
