These photo collections have certainly provided a colorful start to this day. To
paraphrase a well-known saying: Yes, Virginia, elections certainly do have
consequences!
WTH? It's almost 4 am here and I just answered a soft knocking at my door.
It was a fully-equipped ABQ Police patrolman asking if I had called in a request. I told
him no, it wasn't me and I hadn't heard anything in the last hour that I'd been up. So
he said maybe they had the wrong info. I guess so!
NOTE: After I peeked out the crack in my door and saw who it was I took the chain
off and opened the door fully to show my willingness to be cooperative. I hope our
day here gets better, that's for sure! Everybody stay safe!
Guardian: 'Ghislaine Maxwell sex-trafficking trial finally to begin in earnest
British socialite faces six counts alleging that she helped recruit and groom teenage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse'
Trial begins Monday, November 29, 2021.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/nov/28/ghislaine-maxwell-sex-trafficking-trial-jeffrey-epstein
>The first arguments will set the stage for a six-week trial in which the British socialites alleged involvement in Jeffrey Epsteins crimes will be aired in grueling detail, outlining how prosecutors and defense attorneys will approach the proceedings.
Maxwell, 59, stands accused of recruiting and grooming girls for the late disgraced financier, from 1994 to 2004, some of whom were just 14 years old. Epsteins sometime girlfriend is also accused of participating in his sexual abuse of teenage girls.
Epstein killed himself in a Manhattan federal jail on 10 August 2019, while awaiting his own sex-trafficking trial. Maxwell was arrested on 2 July 2020 in New Hampshire, a year after Epsteins arrest.
From the prosecution, youd expect that they would lay out their case and give a preview of the type of evidence thats going to come in, and a preview of who the witnesses will be, and theyre going to want to try to lay out their whole story of their case, said Jennifer Louis-Jeune, a veteran defense attorney in New York, of what to expect in the first days of Maxwells trial.<
There's much more text and some photos at the link. I'm not so sure about the
"Epstein killed himself" bit. Yes, Prince Andrew is mentioned. I'll be very interested
to see how this turns out since I am a strong supporter of Freedom And Justice For
All.

BBC: Your pictures of Scotland: 19-26 November (2021)
Here it is, another pleasant photo collection portraying the scenic beauty, people and
critters of Scotland. For some reason I had to refresh the page to be able to view
all the photos today but it was well worth the effort.

Guardian: 'Group's 6 January donation shows Trump's grip on attorneys general
Watchdogs and ex-prosecutors have strongly criticised the Republican Attorneys General Associations $150,000 donation'
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/nov/24/republican-attorneys-general-funding-6-january-rally-trump
>A key group of Republican attorneys general that donated $150,000 to co-sponsor the 6 January rally where Donald Trump pushed his false claims of election fraud before the Capitol attack could draw scrutiny from a House committee investigating the events on or in the lead-up to the riot.
The group a part of the Republican Attorneys General Association (Raga) called the Rule of Law Defense Fund has attracted strong criticism from watchdogs and ex-prosecutors even as Raga looks forward to next years midterm elections and many of its members are fighting on numerous fronts against Joe Bidens agenda.
The controversy around Raga appears to be yet another way that Trump and his supporters have increased their grip on more mainstream elements of the Republican party, and involved them in efforts to further their agenda.
The RLDF, the policy arm of Raga, ponied up $150,000 for the 6 January rally, and arranged robocalls the day before informing people that we will march to the Capitol and tell Congress to stop the steal, a message that was probably reinforced by Texass attorney general, Ken Paxton, who told Trumps rally: We will not quit fighting.<
There's much more text and a few photos at the link. When are we going to see all
these people in court and jail?
Had a tech crisis with my 39-inch LED TV this morning. I lost my cable tv feed
and was trying this and that. The on-screen prompt to correct whatever the problem
was didn't do anything so I took steps to try to correct it.
Using my TV remote I tried this setting and that setting. I was going to reset my
system modem but our internet was working fine. Finally I did shut off one tv setting
then changed the physical input from DMI 1 to DMI 2.
This involved a certain amount of physically moving my tv around and voila! Everything's working just fine now.
I think my tv is on it's last legs and I'll stay ready to head to The Big Box Store for
a replacement! Technology; can't live with it and can't live without it!
Tweety Bird first appeared in a Looney Tunes cartoon on November 21, 1941
From The Good News Network
https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/events061121/
"80 years ago, Tweety Bird, the yellow canary, first appeared in a Looney Tunes cartoon entitled The Cagey Canary. In the next 20 years he appeared in 46 cartoon films playing in darkened movie theaters during the Golden Age.
Voiced by the genius Mel Blanc for decades, Tweety is one of Blancs many characters known for their speech impediments. Pussy cat becomes putty tat, and sweetie pie becomes tweetie pie.
Tweetys large blue eyes bely this birds conniving instincts. Competing against a large black and white cat named Sylvester is almost a non-contest. One of Tweetys famous catch phrases is: I tawt I taw a puddy tat! Sylvester spends the entire film using progressively more elaborate schemes to catch Tweety, but never succeeds (or Granny makes him spit out her beloved bird).
The first animated short that featured the famous pair, Tweetie Pie, won Warner Bros its first Academy Award for Best Short, mostly thanks to animator Friz
Freleng."
