RandySF's JournalFBI probing possible illegal donations to Susan Collins PAC and congressional campaign,
The FBI has launched a probe into possible illegal campaign contributions funded by a defense company that supported Sen. Susan Collinss 2020 congressional campaign, according to a recently unsealed search warrant application.
Nothing in the warrant, reported first by Axios, indicates that Collins or her staff were aware of the allegedly illegal donations.
The FBIs search warrant application, which requested access to a hard drive, outlined reasons investigators believe the former CEO of a Hawaii defense contractor Navatek, now known as Martin Defense Group funneled donations funded by the company to a PAC supporting Collins through a shell company and donations to the Collins for Senator campaign through his family members.

It's lonely
An emboldened former President Trump is preparing to become more active as he looks to boost GOP allies while mulling a new run for the White House.
Trump is expected to hit the road soon resuming his signature rallies, which will put him more in the public eye and create questions for television networks about coverage.
Hes also set to hold his first fundraiser for his new super PAC at a time when his control over the GOP was augmented after House Republicans voted to dump Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from their leadership team over her repeated criticism of the former presidents false claims about his loss in the 2020 election.

A photo shared on the social media site Parler appears to show Mike Shirkey, a Republican state senator from Michigan, with one of the men charged over the alleged plot to kidnap the state's governor, Gretchen Whitmer.
The photo was posted on the platform, which is popular with conservatives, about one month ago. It shows Shirkey, majority leader in the Michigan Senate, smiling as he stands alongside William Null, who faces up to 22 years in prison if he is convicted of domestic terrorism.
The image was uploaded by Jason Howland, co-founder of a group called the American Patriot Council. He wrote alongside the photo: "The establishment wants to remove one of Michigan's nest [sic] sheriffs for sharing a stage with an ALLEGED terrorist, but here's state senate majority leader Mike Shirkey on the same stage with the same guy
and he looks so happy."
At the time of writing, Howland's Parler page has been taken down. A message on the website reads: "The page you are looking for does not exist."
Null, 39, of Shelbyville, is one of the 14 men charged last October over the alleged plot to kidnap and kill Whitmer, a Democrat. He was also photographed among the armed protesters who stormed the Michigan Capitol in April 2020an event that was later described by a criminal law professor as a "dress rehearsal" for the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
