Female reporter: Trump called me the c-word

(CNN)A former Philadelphia Inquirer reporter alleged Saturday that Donald Trump called her the c-word back in the 1980s.

Jennifer Lin, who was based in New York, wrote a story about Trump's business dealings in Atlantic City in 1988 when she received a phone call from Trump, she told CNN's Michael Smerconish Saturday.

"The woman said hold for Mr. Trump. And then Mr. Trump began to yell at me. He told me I had s--- for brains. He told me I worked for a s----- newspaper and said what sort of s--- was I writing. I was stunned. He hung up."

Then, Lin claims, Trump called her boss in Philadelphia, where the insults continued.
"He referred to me as the c-word," she said.
Lin said she decided to share her story after watching Monday's presidential debate, when Hillary Clinton berated Trump for calling women "pigs" and belittling a Miss Universe winner for gaining weight.

Smerconish said that Lin's former editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer, Craig Stock, had confirmed the story to a member of his show team.

"He remembers it exactly the way that you told it," Smerconish said to Lin.

Donald Trump polls 0% in Detroit, WDIV/Detroit News survey finds

Poll data shows Clinton holds a significant advantage over Trump among African-American voters, and among Detroit voters. Trump leads Clinton in Macomb County and in northern Michigan, including the UP.

Trump's 0 percent support in Detroit isn't unprecedented. The Republican candidate polled 0 percent among African-American voters in Pennsylvania and Ohio over the summer, according to an NBC poll.

In the Detroit poll, there are important caveats to the data. While the poll surveyed 600 likely voters across Michigan -- a large enough sample size to get meaningful data -- just 39 people were surveyed in the city of Detroit. The smaller sample size in the city increases the margin of error, and there's almost certainly people living in Detroit who will vote for Trump in November. The survey found 7.7 percent of voters were "undecided"

The current data, however, suggests Clinton has an overwhelming advantage in the city. She polled at 89.7 percent support in Detroit.

But the attack on Machado seemed hollow for another reason. Before running for office, Trump showed little disgust with women appearing in pornography. He bragged about watching Paris Hilton’s sex tape with his wife, Melania Trump. And while dating his soon-to-be-second wife Marla Maples in 1990, he reportedly encouraged her to appear in Playboy. Here is how the Sun-Sentinel reported it on Aug. 19, 1990:

“Donald doesn’t want Marla to look like she’s against Ivana,” says Trump’s P.R. guru Chuck Jones. “Donald wants picture approval. Donald says to emphasize her early years.”

Notably, she did resist Trump’s insistence that she accept Playboy magazine’s million-dollar centerfold offer. “Trump himself was on the phone negotiating the fee,” remembers a top Playboy editor. “He wanted her to do the nude layout. Before Coker was producing and writing on Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” or TNT’s “Southland,” and certainly before he became the show runner of Netflix’s new superhero series “Luke Cage,” he was a music journalist exploring the world of hip-hop for Vibe, Rolling Stone and, for three years in the 1990s, the Los Angeles Times.

“When I interviewed the Notorious B.I.G., about a month before he died,” Coker said earlier this year at the Television Critics Assn. press tour, “he told me a story about how his mother didn’t know anything about his life on the street. At home he was Christopher Wallace, his mother’s son. He was ‘Chrissy Pooh.’ On the street he was Big Chris and eventually Biggie. His mother, who was a devout Jehovah's Witness, would leave home while he was wearing one thing, but then he would go to the roof and he would change clothes.

“That’s when he would pull out the gold rope and all the flashy stuff that his mother couldn’t afford that he got from drug dealing. He put that on and would go [to school] as a different person. I likened it to the relationship between Aunt May and Peter Parker. Any time Spider-Man stuff affects Aunt May he’s horrified. Much the same way Christopher Wallace never wanted his Biggie persona to affect his mother. …Even as a rapper it’s about him reconciling the Peter Parker and the Spider-Man parts of his life, much how Christopher Wallace had to still be the Notorious B.I.G. and was eventually able to reconcile Christopher Wallace. Unfortunately, right as he was figuring it out, he was killed.”

Eric Trump ‘Charity’ Spent $880K at Family-Owned Golf Resorts

A wine industry association. A plastic surgeon gifting nose jobs to kids. An artist who painted a portrait of Donald Trump and a blue dog. Trump-owned golf resorts.

Those are some of the beneficiaries of the Eric Trump Foundation, an eponymous public charity headed by the Republican presidential nominee’s third-born. Though Eric Trump—the executive vice president of development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization, and one of his father’s top surrogates and closest political advisers—recently claimed his father had donated “hundreds of thousands” to his charity, the only available evidence seems to suggest payments, in fact, went the other way: the Eric Trump Foundation (ETF) paying hundreds of thousands over the last 10 years to host lavish fundraising events at Donald Trump’s golf courses.

In promotional videos and press releases, ETF touts a 95 to 100 percent donation ratio and implies that by benefit of being a Trump, namesake properties are handed over for charity events at little or no cost. But according to a Daily Beast analysis of annual IRS reports and New York state financial disclosures from the charity’s inception in 2007 to 2014, the most recent year for which data is available, ETF spent $881,779 on its annual Golf Invitational at Trump-owned clubs, a portion of which—$100,000 in 2013 and $88,000 in 2014—was reported as paid directly “to a company of a family member of the Board of Directors.” In other words, Donald Trump himself.

2. In 2004, according to an Associated Press article, Trump pitched Hilton to host the Miss USA Pageant and her sex tape didn’t “bother” him.

Trump told Us Weekly magazine he got the idea while Hilton's parents, Kathy and Rick, were visiting him at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. And he said Hilton's infamous Internet sex tape doesn't bother him. "I've known Paris since she was a little girl," Trump said. "She's a fine girl ... I think she will give the pageant its highest TV ratings."

3. In a 2005 interview with Vanity Fair, Trump said the sex tape made Hilton “hotter.”
“I hate what happened with that sex tape, but it only made her hotter,” Trump told Vanity Fair in October 2005.

4. In 2009, Trump called on Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean to release a sex tape she made at age 17.

Prejean, dueling with Trump over her dismissal as Miss USA, had criticized Trump in a book for allegedly sorting contestants in his pageants by how sexually attracted he was to them. She had also recently said she filmed an erotic video for her boyfriend when she was 17, calling it her “biggest mistake.”

In response, Trump told the television show Extra: “She's trying to act like she's a nun... so maybe she should release the sex tape and people would see whether or not she is a nun."

Trump Admits He Found 12-Year-Old Paris Hilton Attractive

Your daily dose of *ugh vomiting forever* comes courtesy of an old Howard Stern interview with Donald Trump.

While Trump was discussing women he did or did not find attractive, he brought up Paris Hilton, a friend of his daughter Ivanka’s.

“Now, somebody who a lot of people don’t give credit to but in actuality is really beautiful is Paris Hilton,” he said. “I’ve known Paris Hilton from the time she’s 12, her parents are friends of mine, and the first time I saw her she walked into the room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?’”

“Did you wanna bang her?” Stern asked.

“Well, at 12, I wasn’t interested,” Trump said, “I’ve never been into that ... but she was beautiful.”

He then went on to call Hilton “dumb like a fox” and admitted that he had watched her sex tape.

This kind of comment is unsurprising coming from a man who has weighed in on the appearance of seemingly everyone from his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to supermodel Heidi Klum. He also infamously told The View in 2006 that if Ivanka wasn’t his daughter, “perhaps I would be dating her.”
