Sterling K. Brown Joins Black Panther Movie

Marvel announces that Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown has joined the cast of Black Panther in the role of N’Jobu, a figure from T’Challa aka Black Panther’s past.

Brown recently won an Emmy Award and is Golden Globe-nominated for his portrayal of Christopher Darden in The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. The veteran stage and screen actor also garnered Screen Actors Guild and NAACP Image award nominations for the role as well as for the critically acclaimed TV show This Is Us.

Black Panther has a February 16, 2018 releae date and is directed by Ryan Coogler starring Chadiwick Boseman as the titular character, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Forest Whitaker as Zuri, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Daniel Kaluuya as W'Kabi, Florence Kasumba as Ayo,Winston Duke as M'Baku / Man-Ape, with Andy Serkis speculated for Ulysses Klaue / Klaw, and Sebastian Stan speculated to appear as Winter Soldier.

Trump's America

A passenger onboard a United plane bound for San Francisco International Airport was arrested Sunday after allegedly erupting into a racist rant.

The situation began about 40 minutes into the flight when two passengers of Pakistani or Indian descent sitting on either side of the man began to talk, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The man spouted off racial and sexist slurs, grabbed multiple sodas from the beverage cart and called those taking cellphone videos of him "f------", according to passenger accounts reported in the Herald.

The unnamed man supposedly calmed when the pilot announced the New Year's Day flight originating in Sydney would be diverted to Auckland. After the plane landed in New Zealand, police removed the unruly passenger from the plane.

The man appears relatively calm — although his words are confrontational — in a video posted on social media which shows his exchange with a flight attendant.

"If you guys treat people right on these things, you see two last names the same don't put someone else in the middle of them," he is heard saying in the video. "I'm not yelling ... you want to hear me f------ yelling.

"Do you know how cool it would be to have the aeroplane turned around because of me? You are going to do that? You do that? I'm being so impolite aren't I? Fat a--."

Starting new job tomorrow. Wish me luck.

I'm starting the new year with a new job in a new location under the same organization. The work is familiar but I will be starting a new routine with a new group of coworkers in a new setting, so I can't help but have a few butterflies at the moment. The greatest upside, besides the increased pay, will be getting to stay in the City saving an $8 daily BART roundtrip. Anyway, good luck to everyone else in 2017.
