redstatebluegirl's JournalMore on ignore today. GDP is nuts today!
Is it because they feel it is berning out? I have friends who are Bernie supporters outside of a couple of them, they are going to vote for Hillary if she is the nominee. On here, it looks like they all are going green or not at all. I don't see it as dire as some do, I think Hillary will be fine. Once people realize the Supreme Court could go to Trump and his nutcase allies, they will see the light.
I said I would not put long time DU'ers on ignore, just short timers, but that died today. I could not take it anymore.
Be sure everyone you help register or are talking to know what ID is needed to vote.
Be sure they have checked with voter registration officials to make sure their registration matches exactly the id they are going to present. Make sure the address matches as well.
This seems very mundane, but so many states are trying to stop us from voting, especially minorities and elderly people. I think we should have people calling our voters and making sure they have what they need to legally vote.
I predict a really nasty November trying to vote.
I have tried so hard to be patient with the Sanders supporters but I can't do it anymore.
I would vote for Bernie if he was the nominee but he won't be, it isn't going to happen. It feels very cult like, my friends who are Bernie people are totally unreasonable right now. I tried to stay off the ignore button. But honestly I have been ignoring people who joined since January and who have some hides. By doing that I can almost handle coming here.
I love America as much as they do, I resent being called a "tool" or a "corporatist" a "third way" person. I have chosen my candidate but I will vote straight ticket Democrat this year as I have in the past. Some of the Bernie people terrify me, some I believe are trolls, so much right wing nonsense.
It cannot get to June 16 soon enough for me.
Oklahoma cuts Higher Ed another 16 percent.
We like it here, but if you are looking for a job in higher ed I would think long and hard before coming here to Oklahoma right now. We are under fire by the anti intellectual crowd. The Legislature, which is nuts, want control of tuition rates again so they are making our lives miserable. These cuts will be people this time.
Does anyone know of a foundation that helps people with large vet bills?
A friend has been in an accident and she doesn't want to part with her pup who has been her lifeline. It is also her son's dog.
I heard there were foundations, but I have been unable to tell which ones are legit and which ones are not through an internet search.
I am not seeking help for anyone here, just resources for her.
Any leads would be appreciated.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin named co-chair of the Republican
Convention Platform Committee. As soon as I have a link I'll post it. This should make us all terrified of Trump and his "friends". She is an idiot!
Disability question
Do you really need an attorney to fill out the forms for SS Disability? I know they are complicated but I think I can do it, I am doing this for a friend. I don't want her to have to give any of her SS to some low life attorney.
The ignore button is my friend.
I had nobody on ignore at the beginning of May, now I have over 75. I just can't take all of the conspiracy theories and negative stuff against all Democrats except Bernie supporters. My blood pressure is much lower now.
Hell is freezing over...
Oklahoma Governor Mary (Mattress Mary) Fallin, vetoed the bill making performing an abortion a felony. I cannot believe this, the Republicans must have enough votes to override the veto so everyone comes out ok.... What a state we live in!
When will the party have a talk with Bernie and Jane?
He is one angry guy right now. I liked him and could see voting for him up until a couple of months ago. He is crazy angry right now, my feeling is he is weakening Hillary with his constant attacks. Can't the party do something?
Maybe I am being simplistic, but I swear he should lose any power he has been given in the Senate after this fiasco.
