SCOTUS today? Presidential elections are about SCOTUS---nothing else

You must understand Opus Dei, a fascist organization.

https://dailymeditationswithmatthewfox.org/2022/06/29/supreme-court-judges-sharing-an-opus-dei-seal-of-approval/

Because the person who forwarded five names to the senate for approval as supreme court judges is Leonardo Leo, who is an out of the closet Opus Dei operative. It was he who pushed Mitch McConnell to nominate Roberts, Alito, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett for SCOTUS. He is also “closest friends” with Clarence Thomas and has been called “one of the most powerful figures in the United States.”*

Avenatti started the ball rolling ----

Like it or not , this all began with Michael Avenatti. In March 2018, Michael Avenatti filed a lawsuit on behalf of adult film actress implicating Cohen and Trump. This was like the first stage of the Watergate break-in. Avenatti was a frequent guest on talk shows and cable news programs to discuss the cases, logging 108 appearances on CNN and MSNBC between March 7 and May 10 in 2018.

So when we are giving credit to AOC ---or Letitia James we should not leave out Stormy Daniels who the had the courage to defy Trump.

If Trump can give the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh I think Biden can make the same award to Stormy Daniels.

Women win the day on Trump---from Stormy Daniels to Letitia James

Michael Avenatti and Stormy Daniels were the first to challenge Trump-They showed he was vulnerable. I know a lot of people on DU have a strong disdain for Avenatti but I like the guy from the point of view of him going on the news show circuit exposing Trump for the liar and cheat that he is. It was the smoke needed to get the fires going. Cohen's payment of $130,000 hush money to Daniels was disclosed by Avenatti on TV. Say what you want about Avenatti, but he started the ball rolling. The courage that Stormy Daniels had to fight Trump was a good example for me when dealing with viscous adversaries.

Letitia James pointed out the testimony of Cohen. That would not have happened without Avenatti.

"Justice Kennedy quit because he and his son helped Trump launder illegal Russian money through Deut

Letitia James lawsuit should shed some light on a few things.
Things are going to get real interesting in New York banking.

https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2018/jul/10/blog-posting/did-justice-kennedy-quit-due-family-ties-trump-and/

Trump’s relationship with Deutsche Bank began in the late nineties when many other major lenders were unwilling to do business with him. Between 1991 and 1992, Trump declared bankruptcy four times, making him unpopular among Wall Street bankers, who referred to making deals with him as "Donald risk."

Republican men more likely to father an unwanted pregnancy

starting with their disregard for women and lack of responsibility tells me that in the future DNA testing will implicate a lot more
Republican men than Democratic men ----you can say that is quite a reach of opinion but look at the Republicans take on Covid -----I think the big push should be for parent responsibility on these births ------an abortion does not show DNA of the father ----but births do------don't think me callous I am just surmising based on watching Republicans behavior

Idiolect: Ginny Thomas and Ted Kaczynski

FBI profilers were able to identify the Unibomber by the field craft known as idiolect or forensic linguistics. Could this FBI fieldcraft be used to identify that Clarence Thomas' written opinions were penned by Ginny? That he is, in fact, a total phony and that many of his decisions/votes are invalid.

Idiolect is an individual's unique use of language, including speech. This unique usage encompasses vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
An idiolect is the variety of language unique to an individual. This differs from a dialect, a common set of linguistic characteristics shared among a group of people.

With Ginny Thomas' deep immersion in right wing circles her use of a certain idiolect emerges.

Do you know of any expert profilers that could help us with this?

We need Pete Seeger today

Seeger read a book “And Quiet Flows the Don". Written in Russia by the author, Mikhail Sholokhov, about the Cossacks along the river, Don. And at one point in the book, it had three little lines. It said--describing the Cossack soldiers galloping off to join the army of the czar way back in the 19th century singing, `Where are the flowers? -The girls have plucked them. Where are the girls?- They were all married. -Where are the men? They're all in the army.' And he says to himself, `Gee, that sounds like an interesting song, Then on a plane in 1955 on his way to sing at Oberlin College, he pulls out his notebook and sees those three lines, and he suddenly connected them with another line he'd written in his notebook, `long time passing.' then he thinks, maybe those three lines could fit together with that little phrase, long time passing, would sing well. And pretty soon, a tune comes to me. And then he added the end, the intellectuals' perennial complaint through the ages, `when will they ever learn.' And 20 minutes later, he had three verses to a song, and he--with scotch tape, stuck it to the microphone on the stage at Oberlin and sang it to the students that night.

The slow disappearance of "Trumpaltars"

" I think I coined the word "Trumpaltar", but you all can use it and spread it around a bit if you want. They were rare to begin with in Connecticut. But, you know, there are always a few wingnuts everywhere. In my community these Trumpsters erected a lawn display or every imaginable Trump banner, poster, cardboard cutout of the Donald, and other paraphernalia. Several of the "altars" disappeared last week. I think the accounting firm Mazars' statements to the Attorney General of New York regarding the unreliability of Trump's statements was the final nail in the coffin for them. All of the Trump stuff is gone from their yards, and now there are just a few U. S. Flags. Of course, they are not immediate converts to a new political stance, but they feel that they have been duped and are embarrassed about supporting Trump and the money that they spent on their "Trumpaltar." I don't think we will be seeing any Trump 2024 signs on this lawn. If you have a report to add to this post in your neck of the woods, please post here. I love being on DU.

About New Haven

A child of the 60's, a lifelong Democrat and a sense that our elected officials , especially the President, set the tone of civility in our great country. I worked on JFK's campaign and on Barack Obama's (twice). High School Class of 1963 I was moved by MLK's March on Washington, and to see that go full circle and have Barack Obama for President is quite gratifying. When I see remnants of the John Birch society still quite active in the Tea Party/MAGA it strengthens my beliefs and support of the Democratic Party.
