Over the past couple weeks, I've waded through

crummy stuff about the Obama administration, here on DU in the GD, but reading little to support him.
I had thought by now the "gang' would go to something else, tiring of flaming Obama. But it just seems to be escalating into a feeding frenzy. It just sickened me.

So I thought that I could voice my feelings safely here.
But I found out that there are some unpleasant people who have no respect for others. Even putting alerts on a couple posters were not respected and left to stand. Much to my amazement. Fortunately, they are now banned from here. So, in the end, they will have some consequence for their rude behavior..

I want to say more about this and DU, so decided to just post what that is, from an earlier post I made in GD today.

I'm having a rough day, but I will never stop fighting for what I believe in, no matter what. This is OUR group - a safe haven and we will keep it so. Thank you boggers!

I've yet to read a valid post made

against Obama, on his stand on Syria. This highly opinionated contingent, who believe they know better and have more info than Obama or Kerry does, only give suppositions and hypotheticals as their reasons. No evidence, no concrete info.

But based on so little, they believe they are right in making such an incredible moral jusgement on all those that perished under the cruelest conditions.

Hundreds of children's lives are of less value than their "ideology"!

+++++THIS IS A POST MADE IN THE BOG+++++++
Please respect our group and it's purpose. Thank you.

I am seeing a vast difference in the level of hate

and blatant racism, since the Zimmerman, "not guilty" verdict. It's as if that verdict validated all the hate and racism of whites, towards blacks that they kept hidden or at least, thinly veiled, till then.

I can no longer go on HuffPo, because of the escalation there in open racism. I am so sickened every time I read such ugly posts there about Trayvon Martin and his family. Even against his own mother, the vile posts get through. I was a fairly regular poster there in all of the Martin/Zimmerman article threads, within a week of it happening til the end of the trial. They are still fighting over it there, but not with me anymore. Beside, more than half of my posts never got posted, lately. Guess there are plenty GOP sympathizers there among the mods.

Life is too short to fill one minute of it with reading the worst human nature has to offer. Anyway, there is a huge difference since the verdict, IMO.

I'm afraid we are going to see more and more of these sort of hateful acts, now that they feel they have permission to not give a crap about a black boy being killed and/or wanting to believe he deserved it. I actually read a post that said, Trayvon thought gz was gay and that's why he beat him up. That TM was nothing more than a gay basher and deserved being killed by gz, who really isn't gay...... OMG

I got chills when I read your story, Lobo and a lump in my throat. How I ache for that couple. It's a terrible thing to know that there are people, that can be that hateful.

Look at what they did at the MO state fair with Obama's face on a rodeo clown. playing the fool, this past weekend. That is blatant disrespect for the office of the presidency. But, yet these very same people call themselves, "god-fearing" and "godly", going to church every Sunday and putting their children, regularly in SS. What the hell are they taught there?? Certainly not that God is love for everyone and that He created everyone in HIS OWN IMAGE............... As I read a DU poster here, say last night, "They believe that Jesus is a white man...." It makes me ill.

I call it redneck evangelicalism. And I don't mean that in a flattering way.....

And they call us the "elitist"....?????

Obama knows what he's doing! Watch what Fineman says

This makes more sense than anything else I've read here by the extreme panic stricken, over Obama and SS "cuts". It is NOT a big deal - please! Many are making the right happy with turning on the president. One thing, that isn't even a given yet, after so many great things and now he's no good?? Boy, talk about being fickle!
Once you hear the history of SS, you realize that this is all moot. Check it out on O'Donnell's show, how the constitution protects SS and that's why Obama feels safe in proposing this non-starter. Congress and the right deserve this in spades!

Oh, the agonizing irony....

It is just surreal to me how the rights of women are going backwards, so fast! Our constitution be damned in like, MS, VA and ND....

Get the damned church out of our government!!! Legislators - you are NOT our pastors!!

NYC Marijuana Arrests Will No Longer Mean Night In Jail, Says Bloomberg

Every little bit helps as we get closer to decriminalization! Hopefully, in my lifetime....

http://www.ibtimes.com/nyc-marijuana-arrests-will-no-longer-mean-night-jail-says-bloomberg-1087044

"New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced that people arrested for marijuana possession will no longer have to spend the night in jail.
NYC Marijuana Arrests Will No Longer Mean Night In Jail, Says Bloomberg

In his final State of the City address, Bloomberg stated that from now on, any person arrested for marijuana possession in New York City will not spend the night in jail. Instead, those booked on mere possession of marijuana will be required to show ID and pass a warrant check. Anyone meeting these requirements will be released immediately and given a court date.

“Right now, those arrested for possessing small amounts of marijuana are often held in custody overnight. We’re changing that,” Bloomberg said. “Effective next month, anyone presenting an ID and clearing a warrant check will be released directly from the precinct with a desk appearance ticket to return to court. It’s consistent with the law, it’s the right thing to do and it will allow us to target police resources where they’re needed most."

The mayor said this new stance on marijuana enforcement is only one step in his plan to completely change the way the city handles marijuana. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo plans to introduce a bill to decriminalize possession of marijuana under 15 grams, and Bloomberg supports the initiative.

“We know that there’s more we can do to keep New Yorkers, particularly young men, from ending up with a criminal record. Commissioner [Ray] Kelly and I support Governor Cuomo’s proposal to make possession of small amounts of marijuana a violation, rather than a misdemeanor, and we’ll work to help him pass it this year. But we won’t wait for that to happen,” Bloomberg said."
