Saw my Republican yesterday!

Had a great Jan 20. Went to the feria (flea market) Had lunch after.
Saw my Republican. Looked like she’d been crying. I said I sent good vibes to you this am cuz I know how you must feel.

She said, I’m okay I’ll respect the office and concede that Biden is now my president.

I said, Thanks. That is nicer than what I said four years ago.

And that’s true. Never once called trump my president nor did I respect his office of presidency. He didn’t. Why should I.

Today I'm crying: in relief.

I see Joe wanting unity. I see millions voted for unity.

But it seems more than half of DU is in the “punish and shun club” and in no way ready to accept anyone that isn’t Democratic.

I think that goes against everything we have tried to do over the last year.

It actually saddens me.

Not asking anyone to “Love your neighbor” but a little acceptance for the sake of the future might be nice.

In addition the trumps celebrated and danced while watching.
