Still in Canterbury.

Well it is official.

I am now a plague rat. The PCR came back positive and now I get to isolate for about 10 days from the 29th.
Nothing but fun. At least I got in a good bike ride before the symptoms showed up.

Still in Canterbury. If you like architecture this isn't a bad town and
the cathedral is enormous and detailed. Too much to see and photograph.

Today we cross the Channel to Jolly Old. Well perhaps not a jolly after Brexit.
We stayed for a night in Canterbury. Went to visit the Cathedral but renovations
were on going. Still it is an imposing structure.

We are still in Bruges today. A very nice town to visit and relax in.
The statue at teh end is of Simon Stevin a mathematician among
other things. His work of statics and triangulation of forces lead to
the development of calculations for construction. Previously building
was all done from experience.
He also wrote a paper on gravity that demonstrated gravity worked the same
on different masses. He was ahead of Galileo by 3 years.
He worked out the flooding of fields in front of advancing, Catholic, armies
attacking Northern Holland.
