THE long history of the liberal mind'ed white people to use their voices and their votes for Democracy. For centuries and decades the liberal mind people were under many forms of duress. During slavery and segregation, they were constantly under attack, and in some cases brutalized, made to appear as pariah's in society and in other cases killed for their belief in humane equality of person.
It was not until the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, that helped protect Liberal Minded White People from the backlash of the Right Wingers, the Racist and the Bigots. Even today, many have not found the full voice, because in some cases they are in areas still surrounded by the types who will attack "liberalism". So many remain silent and just go along with status quo.
That has to change! Even in this site, which is about and for Democrats with Liberal minds, many are still reluctant to speak, and some still struggle with acknowledging the truths beyond their environmental grooming, which for centuries and decades inferred the pressure to remain silent. Today, in some jobs, controlled by the Right Minded Wealthy, Liberals are still silenced for the sake not to be ostracized in their work environments or even loose their jobs if they don't aspire or appear to aspire to Right Wing Ideals.
When they realize within themselves, they have been groomed to be made less free, by the invocations that remanded them to silence and timidity in how they use their voice.
The young today, are not being constrained by that, but we have many people who are first, second generation from Jim Crow Grooming and Constrictions still face the challenge to have and use their voice. Its hard for some to move past the influences that surrounded them in their youth of a post Jim Crow groomed society.
It's time to move past that constrictive containment. Yes, for some its still hard, because it is known to bring rifts in family and even distance from some parents. So, the emotional challenge is great and for some it is overwhelming.
Today, more and more have moved past those constraints. The people in their 20's and 30's today, are more vocal, and the teens of today, are even more vocal as well as more unconstrained in how they build their associations and relations.
A great many things that Black people have said for Decades Upon Decades, only now is there some segments of white society, beginning to see those things as being real, when it has crossed their doors steps, and suddenly their eyes are opened by the despair they are seeing and finding in their own lives, which mirror the things black people have said for decades long ago.
It's time America FACE TRUTHS....
I've written so much about these truths on CD,(City Data) and it was "all" attacked by Right Wingers, who refuse to learn and certainly refuse to face truth, and are determined not the change.
Here when a friend recommended this site, they said, it was of Democratic minded people, who are engaging and do face and want to face the many truths that have been hidden, buried and fought against. I am writing to appeal to those minds, and those individuals who are not afraid to look back, pursue to uncover the truth, and with the will and heart to face the truths, and help in the building of a better Democracy for ALL.
