So true. That progression requires loss, loss creates anxiety. And large numbers of people never do think, they just react. Especially when anxious.

Sigh, different but not so much, an in-law told me yesterday that cats suck the breath from people, killing the vulnerable. In 2018. I know pop culture is currently pushing Dark Ages imaginings over Enlightenment thinking, deriding science as stupid and obstructive to understanding. But REALLY?!
